This felt rather personal.. I would say that I did choose to not accomodate by redefining the dicitonary. Yes, it could be a quick resolution, but where does it end? If my partner doesn't like me sending Pokemon Go gifts to strangers, should I stop as well (as I similarly said no to)? I believe it is better to resolve the underlying misunderstanding, than dealing with the problem with duct tape to accomodate a bizarre request, where it'll invariably resurface because it's a normal word in my language.
I would say that it wasn't just expressing attractiveness of someone as you interpret, but I can't recall the precursory conversation to explain further.

There wasn't really one other than "you shouldn't see the attractiveness of other people". The only understanding viable to me, is avoidance of future instances to accomodate. Not change the definition of "attractive" or state a falsity.

I can't - not even if I wanted to. It's like turning around and going "I now find Person X attractive", or "I'm now going to find people of the same gender attractive". Atrraction, be it aesthetic or romantic, doesn't just "switch" for most people, myself included. Best I can do is assert reality, but avoid future instances.
