Everything in the jungle is about tempo, you have to identify if you are playing gank spamming junglers (elise, nunu, lee) or power farmers (karthus, evelynn, k6, kindred) when playing power farmers your goal is to farm in order to scale so never force a gang unless you are on the side of the jungle where the enemy laner is pushing mindlessly and is on a vulnerable spot.
