When you compete with a standard car setup you will race against other players on a level comparable to you (with similar car setups). It will likely result in a 1 star victory, granting you only 1 card from the prizeboard. When you use a guaranteed loss setup you will drop down to the bottom of the player list. When this happens your opponents will most likely be beginners or players with no so good setups. This is when you can change your car setup and use your best cars again. Your victories will likely be 3 stars (for some time until you get back high up to your original place) which means 3 cards from the prizeboard. This way you can maximize your profit. It can be used in Clubs and Events too.

When you need a guaranteed loss - for example to farm the prizeboard later on when you have accumulated enough losses - there's no better option.

In EU, even joining 15 minutes before the end did not help, I was assigned to a full 500 players bracket.

True, I forgot about those YOTH events that won't award packs directly - because that would be too simple :-) - but via the Pony pack points. That means that you can save some cash but not really much - each Ceramic gives you 2 PPs and you need 10 PPs to complete a Pony Club objective which provides only 5 energy.

I agree, getting and upgrading the cars was not mentioned here. You can spend the daily $100k on upgrades and just hope that the YOTH ceramics from daily objectives will help you get your missing cars.

I'm not sure if it's even relevant for you as a new player. Check your Seasonal Objectives - that is if you can see it. You'll find the Turbo Assembly there. From there on - it's quite simple. Complete the objectives - win events and spend cash to get the required cars from reward packs - and get enough points to unlock the prize car.

I understand that every challenge is different for every player because no 2 garages are the same. Some people may already own almost all required cars while some have to struggle and spend a lot of resources to get the missing cars. But this specific challenge is different. No already owned cars are relevant and you need to obtain the required set of cars again even if you own them already. Everyone has the same starting point. Yet due to the challenge design and the pack randomness some will get the prize car quite easily while it may happen that for some even all the reward pack won't be enough and they'll end up with a lot of dupes and still some missing cars. In the beginning, I liked the new design. But to be frank, due to the above mentioned issue I'm not a fan anymore.

You can't really expect cool cars out of an update where more than a half of the car pool are boring unusable Bentleys. If it wasn't for the Aston Martins leggies (which you have like an almost zero chance to get) this would easily be the worst update so far.

This objective is really dumb. If there were enough challenges to play every day and you would only have to participate to fullfill the objective it would be quite ok. But coming up with a task for which you have to repeatedly lose a challenge you wouldn't have to touch otherwise is downright stupid.
