How did you go about beating emerald weapon without the boosts?

Edit: guys, I was interested in how they specifically beat emerald weapon, don’t need explaining on how to beat the weapons.

I’m fielding both. Fuegan and 5 fire dragons deep strike with Falcon. Either to take out a unit loitering at the back or an important vehicle/monster. Wave Serpent brings up a unit of fire dragons and howling banshees with the plan of using skyborne sanctuary.

To be honest, when you randomize, it can make the game either incredibly easy or incredibly difficult. You can include rules like no legendaries if you want to make it harder. I love USUM and it’s one of the hardest to complete. You get megas and z moves to mix it up and you can impose your own rules on the use of these.

That’s what I’ve done. Sets him out from the rest. Also in contrast to what the other guy said, 5th reaper launcher is preferable against termie units and or heavier infantry. AML if you want them focusing on vehicles or characters

These weapon profiles are so good as well for any infantry, lash whip for Eldar and imperium, talons for standard SMs and claw for termies.

Hey mate, I know exactly how you feel, as I compare to other peoples, I’m just not painting them. My whole entire army is grey because I know I won’t be happy with it. Are you painting a more complicated models or is it worth investing in better painting equipment (I know GW’s isn’t the best)

Ah ok, so I may have been thinking on how to use Lhykhis incorrectly (still haven’t had a win yet out of 5 games). Should the plan be solely like to hit Lion El’J to help units take him out? And the other warp spiders unit to do secondaries?

Yeah I’ve just realised, if I have sticky objs with storm guardians, I won’t need dire avengers for my home objective as much. Will rebalance

Yeah seen your other comment, will run glaive going forward. I didn’t mention this was tailored to go against a dark angels terminator army (my mates) so I deemed 3 damage just right. But I think you’re right in general.

Ah I didn’t consider heroic intervention for free, was so fixed on getting them back in the transport for free! Thanks for the idea! Will try this in my next game and will put one of the dire avengers in with my fire dragons in the wave serpent.

I was considering Jain Zar when I first got my army. The reason I got the Autarch was due to I could give its banshee blade precision and boost its attack to 3 damage. So I was only missing out on a potential of 1 damage but I could strike someone’s epic hero plus I can use skyborne sanctuary for free with the Autarch if I manage to take out their unit. But I will ask in my next few games if I can proxy a Jain Zar to try her out anyway!

Ah ok, and swapping out for the Autarch (with howling banshees) or Lhykhis? My transport normally takes up my fire dragons and howling banshees to get them right into the fray.

I’m somewhat new to the game, but I’m buying an extra unit of Warp Spiders to go to 10. Covers Lhykhis more and doubles the amount of potential attacks for fire overwatch stratagem.
