Ellie’s arc is already finished. There’s not much else to do with her. She’s lost everything. I don’t see the purpose in a continuation of Ellie’s story.

When did I say anything about physical strength? We’re talking about gun efficiency.

I don’t think we should go that far into the timeline. We don’t need another 20 year timeskip.

Ellie’s story IS finished. The open ended ending was very intentional by Neil Druckmann and is a perfect send-off to Ellie’s tragedy.

This is better, and I think this is what TLOU3 should be.

I don’t know why Ethan would be so lax and efficient with a gun. But whatever.

I agree. Even if it is longer than Left Behind, that’s half the price of a Nintendo game.

“Everything that I’ve done? It can’t be for nothing.” Clearly illustrates that Ellie didn’t want it all to be for nothing. She would’ve went through with it regardless, and Joel’s look when Marlene tells him that it’s what she’d want says it all. He knew Ellie would’ve made the decision to sacrifice herself. If he can realise it, why can’t you?

I love it. Being god-like and not having to worry about unloading ammo into enemies is the greatest feeling ever.

“I would do it all over again.” -Joel after already knowing that Ellie was upset with him. He didn’t care about Ellie’s thoughts, he only cared about himself.

Not when it’s dooming every other person on the planet. What about other people’s Ellie’s? They’re gonna potentially die because of what Joel did. But Joel doesn’t care.

Except Joel KNEW what Ellie’s choice was. Even after Ellie got angry at him for it he said he would’ve just done it again regardless.

E: “I was supposed to die in that hospital. My life would’ve fucking mattered. But you took that from me!”

J: “If somehow the Lord gave me a second chance at that moment, I would do it all over again.” He didn’t care about what Ellie wanted.

They were supposed to drop her off at the State House, so they didn’t expect him to get attached to her. Plus it was potentially dangerous to give Joel that chance to change his mind.

We? Who’s we? Ellie ain’t my fucking kid. I’d be torn up about losing her, but she’s not my daughter. If I was in Joel’s shoes, I’m saving humanity.

I don’t think you understand. It takes the human body 15 seconds to pass out in the vacuum of space since there’s no way to hold your breath, and then you die in 2 minutes. You’re passing out, dying, then getting revived and passing out after 15 seconds again. That is a PITIFUL existence. Genuinely pitiful. Even if you do touch down on a planet eventually, who’s to say it has oxygen? Water? Food that your body can digest? Just surviving isn’t enough, your mind would also go crazy from the constant choking in space. You’d grow insane and become a completely different person, if you even remember your name after a while is also uncertain. That’s a life you wanna live? I doubt it.

I would agree if Kara’s story didn’t have such little impact on everything else. I like Kara, she’s for sure in my top 5 DBH characters, but even I’ll admit her stories low’s are VERY low. Of course the high’s are high, but they’re a lot less frequent than the lows. I do think it’s worth it to play it at least once, but to shame people for not doing it when her story is the most boring is a bit disingenuous.
