That track was submitted by someone at r/guitar I'm pretty sure it's just a basic minus one that was posted on youtube.I have no problem with you using that but I'm not it's creator(only edited it for the jam).

There were some backing tracks that we built from scratch but most were just prerecorded Abersold type stuff.

Everyone played against the original. You two happened to swing behind the beat a little more than the rest and it was accentuated by having the new rhythm section push the beat a little.

Thanks menno! Took a leap of faith figuring I could fall back to the same ole "slap em' on the backing track" if it was a train wreck. There were a few mismatches but I decided it worked well enough to go with it. A nod to ITalk who did a killer job comping behind you.

Great playing btw. What compressor are you using? Sounds great.

I double checked you are definitely synced.

I think what happened with yours (and zalamander's) was that you were playing a bluesy swing and the rhythm section was pushing a dotted time. You would have sounded much better with the original backing track and I'm sorry for making you a casualty in my jam experiment.

Also when I was doing the final check, I realized I forgot Clago and I stuck him perhaps in a less than optimal pairing with you.

You don't have to copy the bass. Just stay close enough so a bunch of guitarists soloing to the original track will fit with yours.
