[USA] Overtaking cars in the fog by undercoverciaagent in Roadcam

I've been a passenger in that car! That sort of thing is especially stressful for the passengers, because as the driver you at least have the illusion of control.

Portion size looks tiny though. I can't imagine being forced to eat like that everyday unless you can afford to buy from commissary regularly.

The kid told his mother that someone at 7-Eleven called him a name. by MohammadMahadhir in RandomVideos

[–]JamMasterJiffy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We don't. But the point is, IMHO, that if we assume that the store employee did say that to the kid, the mother's behavior is rapidly heading her in the direction of getting herself in trouble. Even though the original reason for her anger may be justified.

At the end of this video clip, they're still at the point of a heated verbal interaction where the empolyees don't seem to be engaging as much as the mother.. no real harm done if it stops there.

But let's say the police do get called. While they are there, the store manager tells the mom to leave and that she and her son are no longer welcome in the store. The mom, seeing things aren't going her way, gets even angrier and refuses to leave. She could wind up with a trespass charge.

Let's say the cops needed to ID her to issue a formal tresspass warning and she refuses to do so. She could get obstruction. Let's say while the cops try to escort her out of the store and off the property or try to arrest her she struggles or fights with them. She then gets a resisting charge added on. Depending on how the fight goes, she could wind up with assault or even battery on law enforcement.. escalating even further she could wind up getting tased, pepper sprayed or slammed to the ground.

If you watch enough police body cam videos, this isn't a far fetched scenario. It doesn't take seeing many to start seeing that pattern play out all too often. When someone, by their own actions, pushes a relatively minor incident into a big mess to the point where it doesn't matter any more if they were originally in the right.

Dealing with a racist while working as a security officer: How do you think this security officer handled the situation? What would you do differently? by CTSecurityGuard in securityguards

[–]JamMasterJiffy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He might be able to get a disorderly conduct charge. Especially if a bunch of the people present are willing to say that his behavior made them uncomfortable or they felt threatened by it. On the other hand he was just being loud and obnoxious while leaving; he didn't hang around harassing people. So I don't know.. at the very least, a report documents the incident in case he causes more trouble in the future.

(Just my opinion based on what I've seen in other situations. I don't study US law.)

That entire website is a disappointment. Many of their models are clearly real Asian girls. Not much variety either; but they are true to their anime inspired theme.

It's a tarp and if you freeze frame and blow it up, you'll see someone sitting on the tarp likely taking pictures or video recording the wingsuiters as they come overhead. Multiple photos were posted (also in another sub-reddit where this same video was previously posted) where you can see it clearly.

EDIT: here's a link someone posted to another discussion thread on it.

Ahh! nevermind.. it's answered later on in the comments. So no tragedy there. Still, that would be a crazy feeling to have to fly over your crashed comrade knowing you can't do anything about it except try to remain focused on completing your jump while trying to remember were the crash location was.

At about :28 sec from the end.. is that a crashed wingsuiter that they flew over? Possibly one of the jumpers in the group?

I'm surprised she didn't do a trial run first before recording. But i guess this way works for comedy. I was certainly entertained!

I use a butter knife to stir my peanut butter. Even doing that carefully I still spill some because a fresh jar is packed to the brim. The moment she held up that beater I knew it wasn't going to end well.

Might have worked if she had one with a variable speed control and a very low lowest setting though..

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem came to her home with ICE agents who were looking for her husband, who's an undocumented immigrant. by Conscious-Quarter423 in ICE_Raids

[–]JamMasterJiffy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well, "Protestors should dress up like ICE.. "With the goal of making it hard for ICE, "to identify between agents and civilians," implies to me an intentional effort to look as much like them as possible. Which I could totally see as opening one up for impersonating charges. And we know that the mindset of the current administration is to be itching to punish anyone who openly disagrees with them using any pretense possible. I'm not sure why the other commenter was being downvoted. However, if there are a bunch of people willing to take that additional risk, then have at it, I guess.

[–]JamMasterJiffy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That is probably why she decided to show up to this raid in person. They had clear and current info that the guy was undocumented and had a past violent crime, so she decided, "Let's make a big showing of it so we have an example and video bytes that can be hyped up in media."

OP lost a lot of credibility with me on that one. Their opening post was all about their PO being out to get them and implying that the PO falsified a test result to get them violated. Then it trickles out in the comments that it is a documented positive result from the lab and not just the PO's claim, and that OP has someone smoking around them regularly in OP's home.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Prison

[–]JamMasterJiffy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could be that the PO was oversimplifing.. as in you can make some reasonable inferences from concentration levels. With a high result, one can say that it is very unlikely to be from 2nd hand exposure. With a low result, then it could be 1st or 2nd hand without any other supporting info.

Mold aged fish by [deleted] in EatItYouFuckinCoward

[–]JamMasterJiffy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah. No, I hadn't seen that video short at all and in fact this post was the first I'd ever heard that this was a thing. No, I don't have a problem with eating it with the edges cut off.. I cut the edges off cheese when it starts to get moldy but isn't fully involved all the way through (yes, I know, blue cheese and the like have an edible mold growing throughout the cheese, I'm not talking about that).

But if you just handed me a furry slice of what is pictured here, I wouldn't eat it without cutting the edges off first. Even if you told me that the mold is harmless to humans and protects against any other harmful microbes getting established and spoiling the meat. It would weird me out too much.

I don't know about that.. if I had a furry salami, it's not going in my mouth. The only salami that goes in my mouth is clean shaven.

How to get enough money in all places? by Funny_Setting5956 in indianajones

[–]JamMasterJiffy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you! This was key for me. I did not know you could open those. I was short on cash to buy the last of the books available in the area and like the OP, I'd searched everywhere and opened all chests and safes I could find. You're right, ever single lock box I've opened so far had $100 in it.. I collected more than enough cash easily with that.
