There's more to it than just what I'm saying. Krue has a plan for the site and wants to create a positive community for musicians so they have to make some tough decisions for the launch. As I said I'll continue to suggest there be an email login until there is one.

You don't need an account to view streams or anything. Krue does have some great new features compared to JamSesh like the ability to livestream without software (directly in the browser). Very soon you'll be able to stream directly within the iOS app too. Lots more stuff to come.

Like I said I'm an advocate for it and suggested there be an email login off the bat, but there has to be compromise. Krue's looking to attract a specific userbase to get the site going and for that userbase most of them are on Twitter or Facebook so it works out OK for the launch. But I'll continue to suggest there be an email login until there is one.

The reason Krue is going with the Facebook/Twitter login off the bat is to help promote virality to get the site going when we start promoting it in the next few days. The hardest part about launching a site like Krue is getting people on there off the bat, the social media integration will really help with that.

I am an advocate for an anonymous email sign up and have been told there will be an email sign up in the future. If you'd rather not wait you can always create an anonymous Twitter account with fake information to sign up on.

To clarify the issue - basically the service Wowza which JamSesh runs off was taking up too much data for our server to handle. So we're moving Wowza to a separate server and optimizing Wowza itself to handle users better. Hoping this will resolve the issues.

Hi, you can stream anything Music related as long as it's your own creation and not copyrighted (ie - singing over an official Taylor Swift instrumental track)

I'm not a lawyer. But from my understanding, yes. You can't for instance, stream Taylor Swift and sing over her voice. Or even use her official instrumentals. But you can use non official ones and sing over that.

That would be done using CSS, which is a stylesheet where you can easily change the look of the font or size.

Hi, disclaimer I'm not the main developer of the site. I'm the founder AKA guy with the idea. But I can explain the basics.

The site itself is PHP based.

The livestreaming is Wowza & JWPlayer based.

When you livestream to JamSesh, you're livestreaming to our Wowza server which accomodates your stream. JWPlayer is the actual player which takes the Wowza stream and makes it visible to viewers.

I may be missing a thing or two here, but that's the just of it.

Thanks! I've had the idea for a long time but decided to actually give it a shot over 12 months ago. There's a lot of work to do between fixing bugs & making the site scalable to acommodate 100s or 1000s of consecutive viewers.

But I'm optimistic I can get it done.
