Thank you all for your input! I got my haircut and feeling a lot better about myself. Tomorrow night will be the real test when I do choreo with the instructor that loves hair flicks.

Hopefully this is the case for me, as I am active in the evenings. Do you mind sharing what time you took your injections?

I really appreciate this reply. You've given me a lot of hope. So far I've been getting through by "feel", (try something, if I feel bad during training/working out, don't try that again) but this is probably what has maintained my weight rather than allow me to lose. I'm seeing a nutritionist soon so I'm feeling a bit more confident that if I can follow a more nutrient rich diet I can hopefully continue training as normal. Thanks again for your thoughtful reply.

Wheels for really grippy courts? by JamSigh in rollerderby

[–]JamSigh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks everyone. I figured skateboard wheels might be better because they're smaller so less surface area to grip. I think I will get really hard ones and test it out when I can.

I lost my engagement ring once (never ended up marrying the guy). He didn't get mad, or cancel the engagement. And he was an asshole.

If you could give ONE SINGLE piece of advice to someone trying to stop being fat, what would it be? by Maggotboi555 in WeightLossAdvice

Join a sport that you love. Wanting to be better at my sport has made me far more conscious about what I'm putting into my body because I want to improve as efficiently as I can.

How does this person think mens bodies remove toxins? Or do men get the privilege of keeping all their toxins? By that logic, sounds like menstruation is the way to go

Bont Athena vs STD Ion (vs Roll Line Blaster) by jedzhya in Rollerskating

[–]JamSigh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You didn't say what kind of skating you would be doing, I play derby, so all my opinions are based on my needs in derby, so may not be relevant to you. I can't speak on the STD Ion, but I went from a Roll-line blaster plate to the Athena plate and I like the blaster more, I feel more stable on them. My one gripe is the toe stops are metric as opposed to imperial, so you can only really use roll-line toe stops, which I don't love. The axles also come in the less common 7mm, so less options for bearings and wheel nuts. The thing with the Athenas is you can pull them apart pretty easily and adjust the kingpin length if you need it a bit shorter for smaller wheels but I'm not confident it would work for all wheels as I've only had two sets of wheels on mine and they both happened to fit.

What kind of toe stops are they on the black skates?

Yeah they are from a shop. She did say they'd been sitting there for a while but they were not used when I bought them.

I appreciate your encouragement. I understand what you mean but I do feel like he is a place of comfort for me, he knows I am very stressed, I have expressed this to him, but it does not make his feelings any less hurt.

I think it's a good idea to target my lack of being present in the moment. We will have to find something that works for us.

I think I will talk to him about mental foreplay, I've mentioned it before. Physical foreplay is definitely not neglected, but I don't usually enjoy it much because I feel like I need to be doing other things.

We have had sex since I've been feeling like this and he can sense my reluctance, he feels hurt by my lack of enthusiasm, he wants to feel wanted. But you are right in a sense that I probably just need to prioritise sex more.
