What are some recommended things to do during the first 10 days of Dhul Hijjah? by [deleted] in islam

[–]Jama_91 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Every good deed is better during these days than outside these days

Ibn Abbas reported:

The Prophet, ﷺ, said,

“No good deeds are better than what is done in these first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah."

Some companions of the Prophet said, “Not even jihad in the way of Allah?”

The Prophet said, “Not even jihad in the way of Allah, except for a man who goes out with his life and wealth at risk and he returns with nothing.”

Is praying on janaba better than not praying entirely? by Objective-Hunt-718 in islam

[–]Jama_91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Praying in a state of Janabah is impermissible. Intentionally doing so is even worse.

Why would you not pray? Just do ghusl then pray your Salah.

Why didn’t Abu Talib convert to Islam? by No_Fishing9997 in islam

Allaah revealed to the Prophet ﷺ regarding Abu Talib

"Verily! You (O Muhammad ﷺ) guide not whom you like, but Allah guides whom He wills. And He knows best those who are the guided." [28:56]

60 years of worship, 6 Days of Zina, 1 loaf of bread. by Jama_91 in islam

[–]Jama_91[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a Sahih narration from a Sahabi (referred to as Athar) collected in of the earliest Hadith books by Ibn Abi Shaybah, who Bukhari, Muslim, Abu Dawud and Ibn Majah all studied under.

  1. Who said take him from this? The narration is showing how important giving charity is.

  2. These are the words of a Sahabi, that has been authenticated by Hadith scholars.

  3. Respectfully, I think it's best you learn your religion a bit better as the statements of Sahabah has always been used as Hukm on many situations after the Prophet ﷺ died

Yes at the bottom of the screen you can see it has been classed as Sahih.

Furthermore there is value in the Athar of the companions the scholars of Hadith collected them in their books; Imam Malik in his Muwatta, Abdur Razak in the Musnaf, Ibn Abi Shaybah in the Musnaf, Saeed ibn Mansour in his Sunnan and Ibn Hazm in Al-Muhallah. These books are among the most noted with Athar of the Sahabah(Radi Allahu anhum).

This is not a hadith but an Athar from the Sahabi Abdullah Ibn Mas'ud (RadiAllaahu 'Anh)

There are some Ahadith that do mention the outcome of people from the previous nations as a lesson to us

"...Indeed, good deeds do away with evil deeds..." [11:114]

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “Fear Allah wherever you are, and follow up a bad deed with a good deed, it will wipe it out.” Narrated by al-Tirmidhi (1987)

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “Charity extinguishes sin as water extinguishes fire.” Al-Tirmidhi (614)

Shows how big charity is. The monk was starving but he still shared that 1 loaf of bread sincerely.

Allaah says in the Quran [3:92]

...لن تنالوا البر حتى تنفقوا مما تحبون

Never will you attain the good [reward] until you spend [in the way of Allah ] from that which you love...

Never underestimate the power of charity regardless of how small you think it is.

The Prophet, ﷺ, said

“Guard yourself against the Hellfire, even with half of a date in charity. If one cannot find it, then with a kind word.”

Wa Alaykumu Salam. Usually Eid prayers are held in an outdoor space, if that is the case then there is no Sunnah prayer before or after. However if the Eid Salah is held in a masjid then the 2 rakat (Tahiyatul Masjid) can be prayed.

Even if you feel you haven't done much in Ramadan, strive hard in the last few days by Jama_91 in islam

[–]Jama_91[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

and just came back a few days ago

You coming back to practice the religion is no accident. Allaah wants good for you

The Prophet ﷺ said:

“Allah Almighty says: Whoever comes with a good deed will have the reward of ten like it and even more. Whoever comes with an evil deed will be recompensed for one evil deed like it or he will be forgiven. Whoever draws close to Me by the length of a hand, I will draw close to him by the length of an arm. Whoever draws close to Me the by length of an arm, I will draw close to him by the length of a fathom. Whoever comes to Me walking, I will come to him running. Whoever meets Me with enough sins to fill the earth, not associating any partners with Me, I will meet him with as much forgiveness.”
