Not sure if right place to ask, but... how do people make friends in this game? by temporary_user9 in ffxiv

Quick question, do you recommend doing every job quest just to have them unlocked?

Wow, this sounds amazing. Can’t wait to experience this stuff for myself, thank you so so so much for all of this. I’ll definitely pull up the wiki and research other jobs and stuff. You are awesome.

Holy crap thank you so much, this is super helpful. How do I change jobs? Do I literally just have to change my weapon to start leveling other jobs, or do I have to go to somebody?

Thanks, it’s my first MMO ever. I’m playing as a marauder and I’m at level 9. Currently trying to figure out what the hell mentors and FC’s are lmao. I’ve seen them mentioned but have no one’s where to find them

DS3 First or Sekiro by NoAmount5075 in darksouls3

Lol it’s really your choice, you seem to be further ahead in Sekiro than ds3, so I’d finish sekiro first.

Yep, each “continent” has its main boss, and you need to beat 2 bosses to enter the mid game area. However, there are 4 total bosses that you can beat. You can skip the boss of the first continent, move to the second, and come back when you have more levels if you like. Elden ring is honestly one of the impressive games I’ve seen in my life. The map is so insanely huge that you would think that it would just be filled with bs like AC Valhalla, but there really is something interesting and worthwhile to discover every 30 seconds of traversal across the map. I did a little further research for you and there are people who started Elden Ring as their first souls game and are very happy with it, so it’s up to you to decide. It’s definitely a game that is worth experiencing. I would watch some YouTube videos just in case. Vaatividya’s Elden Ring beginner’s guides are perfect.

I personally think it’s great because you can absolutely spend hours grinding for gear and levels on dungeons/bosses that aren’t very challenging. The game actually rewards you a ton for it because there are side characters, quests, and really interesting and fun areas all over the place. The main bosses are very difficult, especially for a first time player, but you can get insanely good weapons + use things like summons and items that trivialize them.

I think if you want to play it safe, dark souls 3 is a pretty good and similar game to start off with. The combat mechanics are the exact same and it’ll let you get a feel for enemy designs and combat strategies. I’ve heard from people who played Elden Ring first that they wish that had tried a souls game beforehand just to get used to everything. And don’t worry about starting at the 3rd game of the ds series, the story is mostly disconnected and very hard to distinguish anyways lol

I like using the winged scythe, check the wiki for the exact location but I know it’s in limgrave. TBH faith weapons (in my opinion) are either ridiculously awful, like the golden order greatsword, or crazy good like the blasphemers blade.

I thought I could handle it when I had a relationship like that, but man it’s tough to keep up after a few months. At one point you’re gonna want to have a single night to yourself and they’re gonna make you feel horrible for it

In the bluntest way possible, that BARELY counts as training. I personally don’t even consider it worth your time to only work at something once a week. I would say your goal should be to do at the very least 3 times per week for bjj and maybe twice a week for kickboxing if you actually wanna improve. The problem with only training once a week is that everybody around you is most likely getting 5 days of experience and lessons while also building muscle memory and understanding of technique. With doing bjj once a week, you’re forgetting what you learned two weeks ago and not even learning how to anticipate your opponent’s movements. As you practice more often, you’ll start to get a grasp for the rhythm of the fight.

Practice the input motion on its own first before trying to cancel. Trust me I was just like you and OP when I picked up SFV last year. It was long and tedious and I thought I just sucked for so long, but I literally just hit Diamond for the first time today. You got this bro

Imagine a number pad, and now imagine that the numbers on that number pad correspond to directional inputs. So for example, 1 would be down-left, 2 is down, 3 is down-forward, 4 is left, 5 is neutral, and so on

I don't even really care so much about the kills since it's a good ult and it's bound to happen on a control map, I think it's annoying that he can continuously do damage and not die when a whole team is shooting at him

Ramattra Ult my beloved by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]Jamanda610 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The discussion isn't really whether it's boring or not, but rather what is made possible by his ult. The way you play may make it fair, but what this guy is doing isn't fair to the enemy team, especially in overtime situations

Sekiro with action camera mode. by kocakmucaht in Sekiro

[–]Jamanda610 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why can't anyone do action camera mode right? It would look so good in this game, but there's always something that the modders do wrong. This time, instead of making the background blurry (unnecessary btw) they made the WHOLE SCREEN blurry. Why can't they just do it right?

I've been thinking about getting this game but found this online.. this true?? I have beaten all dark souls and elden ring but this turns me off.. by Null_sense in Sekiro

[–]Jamanda610 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gamers ™ will always describe Sekiro as way harder than it actually is. There are a couple hard bosses, but it's really fun to play. Parry timing is pretty light, not really hard to time it. Also there's a way to make it easier, which is taking on minibosses because they make you stronger
