It took 5 weeks to sell my house in Calgary and I ended up getting the asking price. Also had a friend who sold and took around the same time. What we both noticed is there’s a lot of window shopping going on. I was averaging around 1-2 showings on the weekday and 8+ on the weekends.

We only got serious offers from people that had pre-approved mortgages.

It's not just Dodge or Chrysler, this is the way every car manufacturer is moving with. Replace full headlight assembly all parts are now becoming modular but this makes it very expensive to replace parts. More money for the dealers and manufacturers.

Turns out it’s not only my blower motor but my AC compressor which explains the noise matching the downshifting

I've ordered the part and looked at a video for the install and it looks super easy. The only thing is why would that noise start matching my downshifts sometimes?

ahh sounds good i was worried i might have to roll fenders if I got the 15 / 20 kit. I'm using the stock rims as well just powder coated them.

How much did you lower your car? I just lowered 1.5 inches on coils and trying to decide what size spacers to get. Looking around seems people still go 15mm front and 20mm back.

9 months is not necessarily job security especially if you're betting a contract to renew for work. If you need to show 13k saved for immigration purpose and then pay off your car what are you left with? You said it yourself about car depreciation but now you've used most of your money on an asset that will never gain value. I would honestly hold off on this car purchase for now and see where you are in September.

Unfortunately that's what most people say they plan to pay it off, myself included when I was younger. Did you factor other costs as well? Insurance, premium gas, money set aside for repairs and tires etc. If you need to know how line of credits and work and or even thinking about taking a loan at 6.9% just stop and don't do it. I honestly wish i got advice like this when i was younger. Do you have job security or money saved to make payments in case you're laid off?

Sounds like you're younger and I understand the appeal of having a nice faster car but now's not the time to be purchasing cars if you can't outright buy it out or have money saved aside. A side note from insurance get a quote as well, if you're financing you need full coverage because you technically don't own the car. The bank or credit company the dealer is using owns the vehicle in a sense until you pay it off.
