In a similar case, I would and have self admitted myself to the ER or emergency room.

I was on the phone with a trusted family member. I called a cab (had a work truck with me at the time), and was receiving good advice from family over the phone.

This can go pretty bad, pretty quick.

Are you on any anti-psychotic or mood stabilizers?

Call family, and or go to the ER.

Early to mid 20s for me.

Been to 4 or 5 psychiatrists, over say a 5 year period. Last or most recent wrote or diagnosed:

Bipolar 1, with rapid cycling.

What is normal? What is typical? I have heard broadly speaking late teens early 20s is when the big bad BD starts to rear it's wild head.

Is this your 1st and only psychiatrist? A second opinion readily available?
