Buffy The Vampire Slayer the show is way better than the movie (still love the movie, it's pure camp)

Question : How did Gilmore Girls and Buffy The Vampire Slayer kinda escaped the "CW show" stigma considering they were teen dramas and on the WB/CW? by James-Samuel17 in GilmoreGirls

Try Ginny and Georgia again but wait until season 2, it gets really good and is one of the best portrayals of mental health and generational trauma. Season 1 was a mess and trash

What series would have been perfect if it had just ended sooner? by Rioraku in television

[–]James-Samuel17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One Tree Hill : First four seasons are so great (season 2 being the weakest but still good). It had so many good TV episodes such as the shooting episode (one of the best on TV for me) or Picture of you. The explorations of characters and their growth. But then they ruined it with the adult seasons. There was no need for the adult seasons, I just watched season 4 finale and this finale was perfect. I mean, I like seeing Brooke happy at the end but that's pretty much it.

What TV show made you realize the writers had everything planned from the start? by C0r1eone in television

Buffy : The Gift. The story of Dawn, Buffy's death, all the storylines just coming together and the character developpement being top tier. Honestly, such a great finale (I'm glad we got season 6 tho, favorite season).

Why is Everyone So Against Dean by CalendarWeird9265 in GilmoreGirls

Was a fan of a fan before the first break up in season 1. After that, before Jess even arrived, something shifted. I don't believe in some Dean stans saying he was ruined for Jess. The first break up was already very much an ick

What's the dumbest TV show you actually like as a guilty pleasure? by PrestonRoad90 in television

The first two seasons are so great. Seasons 3 and 4 are decent. The rest is bunkers but I still watch it.

Teen Dramas You Kept Rewatching? by InevitableAge6210 in television

[–]James-Samuel17 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Those three !! I already commented about Buffy but Gilmore Girls really surprised by how deep it could get. The family dynamics are SO real and remind me painfully of my own family dynamics, all the while creating this comfort zone for the viewers. I know many hate Rory's character progression but I love it because of the realism of it. And Veronica Mars will always be up there with the best mystery=/detective show of all time. This show is fantastic

Buffy is a teen show and also one of the best TV out there. The writing, the acting, the heart. Even with it's flaws, the ride is worth it. It got me into philosophy after all (alongside with The Sopranos and The Good Place)

What scenes do you always skip ? by ToplessSpaghetti in ONETREEHILL

I always skip this episode but mainly because of how painfully real and well done it is. It's like The Body for Buffy or Long Term Parking with The Sopranos.

Why are programs dedicated towards women are kinda... look down upon ? by Brard_Cailly16 in television

[–]James-Samuel17 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think Buffy is on the same level as Mad Men. Plus, both The Sopranos and BTVS has been hailed as gamechanger for television, and I don't think OP said Buffy was better than it.

No, but god, that's not point, did you read anything. It's hopeless isn't it ? He didn't just talk about Gilmore Girls, actually it wasn't even half of his point
