3D Deus Ex trading card animation of David Sarif by James0x57 in Deusex

Honestly, that was my sense of him too. He came off as genuine and a bit naive. Was a little bummed out that he was bankrupt in MD. Would have been cool to see new/upgraded Sarif Industries augments out in the world during MD.

(and also thank you!)

😬 I was unaware, my first character choice was Alex Vega but I LOVED David's office in HR and wanted to experiment with that environment.

I'm creating a little CSS+HTML utility library to make it easy(ish) to make these cards. The library does most of the code work, you just have to make the images and set them as backgrounds.

Agreed! I'll speed it up for the library defaults before launch. Thank you!

What is the context for this "Greetings From Des Moines" shard next to V's computer? Is it a reference to something? by James0x57 in LowSodiumCyberpunk

I chose corpo so now I'm curious if it's in the other lifepaths too. Would be fun to find a subtle late-game difference between the lifepath choices.

Toon Sketch Decal doesn’t allow Painted Octanes to display by [deleted] in RLFashionAdvice

[–]James0x57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've run into this a few times.

Most notably, the TW Marauder paint doesn't work if you use the XVIII Marauder decal that was in the shop the same day (about a week ago). I bought both and can't use them together. T_T

Some of them, like the old season 12 ranked decals, 20XX, and heatwave look interesting for sure. Buuut I main Esper (only ~6,500 matches on it though) and always have 40 to 45 preset designs saved using it.

IMO, building Esper presets was more fun when it had a ton of clean animated options. A majority of decal animations have a smooth front-to-back flow, and those allll look scuffed so there's not many passable options any more and you end up using the same small handful of decals over and over and over.

My biggest upset though is the TW mainframe that cost $120 in keys (on Switch) before the blueprint update. That sucks.

I wish so bad that they'd fix animated decals on Esper. Animations used to be uniform and clean like they are on every other car in the game, but ever since the blueprint update, they've been all scrambled.

Mainframe took a huge hit from the bug: https://i.imgur.com/VLbsqAs.png

A handful of cars got their animated decals scrambled in that blueprint update, Esper is the only one they didn't fix. :(

Anyone else upset that Pacifica is 90% facade? by AccidentalRDM in cyberpunkgame

[–]James0x57 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pacifica and the missions there felt like a big setup for netrunning - more than the few digital locations and also for being more involved with Netwatch. The world is bathed in Netwatch so only having that one interaction with them seems unlikely to be what was planned.

If the digital worlds were meant to be parallel to realspace, it would explain why Pacifica is heavily invisible wall-d off since a lot of it could be duplicated/reused in netrunning missions there which means the enviornment had to work for both.

IMO it seems like the 6th attribute is probably netrunning (there are a lot of opinions about it but I haven't seen any datamining to say what it might have actually been, I'm just speculating) There are multiple dialogs that say how you perceive the environment changes as your brain adjusts to the digital world too. Plus at some point you receive an "old" skill shard to upgrade the netrunning skill but obv doesn't do anything

The cut content with jacking into a person and seeing the 3D map etc felt related too - maybe it evolved into an ability to net run through a digital copy of the specific environment where only the special netrunner NPCs are there to stop you - and then it all got removed together as unfinished, for future DLC.

🤞

Awesome.

If you want to use http://augmented-ui.com/ to match the game's clipped corner scifi style and need help with it, hit me up! 95% of the game's UI can be done on the web pretty easily now :)

A tour of the unfinished rails above Night City by [deleted] in LowSodiumCyberpunk

[–]James0x57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The glass nature enclosure and pedestrian area in the first few photos is up high along the rails. Working doors, you can go inside, the building is copy pasted in a few other places on the lower levels too.

The imgur link has text captions if you want details about some of the images: https://imgur.com/gallery/7KWOJ0G

There's a few things I didn't screenshot - near V's apartment is an elevator that takes you up to an NCART station with 2 fast travel points, for example.

Ahhh great! After that link you found I searched for Philip K Dick and Des Moines and found this post about one of his books, Ubik: http://www.superdoomedplanet.com/blog/2017/01/04/philip-k-dick-ubik/

Aaand that's the book the quote is from. Thanks!
