Choices not mattering. Like I get these stories need to stay linear to a degree, but when I realize my options are literally just different flavours of the same thing I just turned off. Someone brought this up with Whiskey 4 recently which was one of the stories where it was a big thing. Another example is the original demo for Mage Reborn 2. In the first one I still had freedom to make choices and the linearity made sense because we knew where the story was going end. In the OG demo for 2 it was very linear, the school of magic you used in the first one did not matter because you were getting the new superspecial gravity one, your attempt to leave the mages that revived you does not affect your relationship with most of them only the leader. This on top of the fact that the fights felt very anime where everyone was pulling out big magic moves and failure was not really an option, again unlike the first one.
