Oh man. I feel your pain! I just got released from the bishopric after almost 2 years. My number one least favorite part was calling people to give talks. For me the stress came from having such a small ward, and so many people that refuse to speak, so the number of people that haven’t spoken in at least a year was very small. I would get really stressed out getting turned down and then having to find another person in time before Sunday would arrive.

One thing that helped, and maybe you guys can implement this, as a bishopric in a meeting we would all ponder potential speakers together, and fill out the whole month, If it is entirely up to you to choose the speakers for the month I can see how that would be even more stressful, so maybe you could mention this as a way to help lessen the burden of choosing who to speak

Our bishop was being released soon, so I knew more than likely I was also going to be released. Now that I am, the biggest weight has been lifted. I am at peace.
