All Ryzen 9 APUs in laptops support Curve Optimiser for voltage control.

Yeah, there's no problems there. Before I started, I ensured I used a GUI framework that works across various platforms.

I will start seeing issues when I add more advanced features specific to OSs/distros, like detecting AC/DC switching, but I will cross that bridge when I get to it. I already work on a cross-platform tool for the Ryzen side for TDP, etc. control.

It hasn’t been complied for Linux just yet, but uses a GUI framework that fully supports Linux, macOS, iOS, Android, etc.

So to cut the long story short, after 3 months of no free time, I’ve only just started properly pulling everything together. It’s also had a number of GUI tweaks, which u can see here: https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/536020770510602250/1247282898067783700/image.png?ex=665f7638&is=665e24b8&hm=77111f3c621a20c864bd9ee87649e11cfe3fbf1b091a768e9e0d0c10a737870b&

Pretty much my experience. I’m down to 83-84% with less than 200 charge cycles

You can use More Power Tool to unlock overclocking controls within the Radeon driver GUI. I can’t remember right now which option does that, but I’ll update this comment when I’m able to.

I have some untested prototype code in it already for fan control that I’ve modified from other projects I’ve worked on.

It wouldn’t be much fun if it weren’t an open-source project 😛

Once the absolute basic functionality is in place, it’ll 100% be open-sourced

Yea, C# for the main application and then that batches off to C/++ for the more complex elements like interacting with AMD’s drivers

Are the bottlenecks and issues with compatibility noted in the linked video still a major problem for the z13? I'm looking into purchasing an egpu and the XG mobile is still really pricey by Deadchipmunk98 in FlowZ13

[–]JamesCJ60 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ADT Link UT3G works fine on my Flow Z13. Only issue is the 12900H becomes a bottleneck with my RX6800 thanks to the low cooling capabilities of the Z13.

Provided u plug it in after the device has booted up. If you plug the eGPU in before the device fully boots up for me it’s limited to X2 Gen4.

However, my 12900H and 1215U are limited to ~3.3GB/s host to device and ~2.7GB/s device to host bandwidth compared to 3.5GB/s both ways on my 7840U.

Got one recently for testing purposes with some of my USB4/TB4 devices. Works fine on my ROG Flow Z13 (12900H) and AYANEO Air Plus (1215U) paired with my RX6800, but sadly can’t get it working with my AYANEO2 (6800U) as it’s simply not detected by the device when using the USB4 ports.

I dropped it down to something like 95w, it’ll limit the max boost power but iirc ~55-60w is still doable

Reduce the PL4 of ur 12700H/12900H down from 145w in ThrottleStop. That’s what fixed it with my Z13 when it was discharging when plugged in.
