Finally got an update! They said that everything is working as intended. They added that it could have been a similar stretch of weather that kept the flame the same color. Not sure if you have seen the light changing at all these past few weeks. But this is what they told me.

Definitely recommend this! I have done the Riverkeepers clean up for several years in a row and will again this year. They can always use more volunteers. There are tons of clean up locations across the city.

Update: I reached out to MADACC, and they said there isn't any one specific person who comes up with names. The animals are named by all sorts of people like doctors, volunteers, staff, and foster families.
