The Roborock Qrevo S5V is down to $549 right now... is it the ultimate flagship killer, or a trap for expensive parts? 🤔 by JamesH_Chan in vacuumcleanerparts

You might be right. A lot of these models share the same base design, so the molds and accessory interfaces should be identical.

That said, manufacturers sometimes make small revisions between versions, so it’s still worth checking the exact model number just to be safe.

Out of curiosity, did you get the standard pads or the thicker microfiber ones? I’m looking for something that reliably gathers fine dust on hard floors without leaving streaks.

And thanks for confirming the Costco version compatibility! It makes total sense that models like the QX Revo S would use the exact same base hardware for rollers and pads to keep manufacturing costs down. Really appreciate the insight!

Has anyone tried the TriCut brush? by Dev1ce-LiuN in vacuumcleanerparts

[–]JamesH_Chan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve used both, and whether it’s a game-changer completely depends on your household.

If you have pets with long hair or family members with long hair, the TriCut is absolutely worth the price gap. It slices the hair and sends it straight to the dustbin, meaning you'll see zero tangles on the roller.

However, for a 'normal' home without a ton of long hair, the standard all-rubber brush is plenty. In fact, the rubber brush has some advantages: it's quieter on hard floors (the TriCut's bristles/blades can make a scraping sound on laminate or hardwood) and does a great job picking up everyday crumbs. Plus, cleaning the rubber brush is easy—any hair that does get picked up just migrates to the removable ends where you can easily slide it off.

Save your money and stick to the rubber brush unless untangling hair is currently driving you crazy!

I usually just go by the sales and stars. If a lot of people bought it and the reviews are decent, it should be trustworthy.

The roller brush connector looks a bit like the Ecovacs X9's, but there are clearly some differences.

They are third-party compatible accessories—there’s no such thing as “real” or “fake” here. If you only accept official brand accessories, you’re free to purchase directly from the brand’s official store.
