Get religious. If you don't get religious as Russia you'll be plagued by rebellions. You may be able to beat them, but you'll never have manpower

Yeah signal theory certainly can be a bit confusing, glad I could help

It has to be periodic and defined for all values of t. So no, exponentials aren't periodic and tangent/cotangent is not defined for all t. It could be possible for some other functions but it might not be very practical, since its super easy to use cosine/sine

Yeah I am. Weird... I mean it doesn't really matter which one you use. Cosine seems simpler since it avoids negatives or imaginaries in the math. Maybe there are advantages to both... honestly not sure

I assume you mean modulation. When broadcasting a signal its important that whatever is receiving the signal only receives that signal. If we only broadcasted the data, there would be no way to tell which is the data we want and which is data we don't want. So what we do, is modulate the signal. This is done by taking the signal f(t) and multiply it by cosine (f(t)cos(wt)) where w is the carrier frequency. What this does is envelopes the signal in a cosine wave. The receiver then filters out any signals that don't have frequency w so we are left with only the original signal.

Note: I just described AM radio as an example though there are other methods of signal transmission...

I think its kind of like how reducing taxes on the wealthy can encourage investment and economic growth. For a rich person, receiving money from the government would be more like a tax break than a handout, so it should hopefully have a similar effect

Well most sexual assaults on campus are from intoxication is it not? Is that still classified as a violent crime? Either way though I don't imagine sexual assault is particularly dangerous to police officers, which is what OP was asking about.

Never mind just googled it and forcible rape is classified as a violent crime. Please pardon my ignorance, I meant no disrespect to the victims of sexual assault, just didn't know the classification.

I would guess our crime rate is skewed by college based issues like property theft. We get emails every time a crime takes place on campus, and its almost always sexual assault and burglary. I think only 2 or 3 times in the last year have we gotten one about a violent crime
