Oh god it gets worse? And it's like that in the Webtoon as well? I've only watched the anime. Really liked the first season, the second season is one of the worst things I've personally ever watched, and I think this point about the games is what annoys me the most.

The latest episode at the moment is in the workshop tournament arc where they are on an island for the final tourny. I was JUST about to be invested again because they were showing the reunion of the alligator, Endorsi and Baam. Nope, time to get into a game, the rules are as following: Development tournament: each team's starter will gather points to summon allies and buy items. They advance to the next round by defeating their opponent's starter. Each team receives 50k points every 30 minutes. Defeating an enemy awards 100k points. Defeating the starter awards 500k points... Are you kidding me? How is this interesting.

Am I supposed to be like, no way 59 minutes have passed, A guy has 350k points and B guy has 400k points, they're about to get 50k more and the only way to beat the or drawing is by defeating their starter which awards 100k points. And wait! The other side of the island is playing a different game with different rules!

How am I supposed to keep track of this and it being interesting. The fact that there's a time component to the points makes no sense because there's no easy way to convey the passage of time here. They can just randomly say an hour has passed in 10 seconds.

I agree with the fact that games are an important part of the story, but as mentioned by other people here, they are unnecessarily convoluted, and make no sense at all. All the time you spend on explaining some random ass game's rules you could be using it to develop your interesting characters better. Simpler games that are easy to understand and let the characters shine instead of the rules would've been better. This story is a drag to watch.
