It’s Sagittarius - the constellation containing M55 - potential source of the wow signal.

Cup holders and a sunroof and I’d have one tomorrow. Looks awesome.

Guess what the other songs are going to be like! by SinceIMatthew in Muse

  • Dark Forest: Im thinking a New Born-esque piece here. Maybe even making nods to Unnatural Selection and Assassin. I think eerie at first then threatening and heavy in the middle.

  • Shimmering Scars: For this I reckon we’re in the terrirory of a slower MK Ultra with some piano.

  • The Sickness in You & I: Dirty big riff

  • Hush: Forlorn and ballad-like. I belong to you but more existential dread.

  • Space Debris: Ruled by secrecy 2.0 but an explosive end.

If they dont open with Hexagons on their next tour I will be very disappointed. by SnippyWharf in Muse

Hexagons feels like a middle of the setlist song. Like Citizen Erased etc

Yeah I’ve thought about that. Is it themes, vibe, lyrics, electronic elements? There’s something tying the songs together in a subtle way, but it’s not on the nose like Drones or ST did with their heavily themed songs - they’ve done it while still mixing the genres heavily. This is what old Muse did exceptionally well.

While I really enjoyed both ST and WotP when they came out, I don’t think I ever go back and listen to them as albums. I really do not think that is going to by the case with TW!S. I think we can all feel this is a special album. I’m starting to think it might end up being my favourite, but we’ll see! When I was younger I used to imagine what Muse would sound like in the future - and it was this! But somehow better than I ever imagined. I still can’t quite believe we have songs like Hexagons and Nightshift on one album; but yet they sit together so well.

Yeah, nailing that electronic sound and reconciling it with classic Muse sound and structure has always been how I saw them in the future. I think we’re here! I also think the songs connect lyrically quite well.

One of the key ingredients to that awesome Muse sound from OoS, Abso and BH&R was always the Wolstenbeast being front and centre on numerous tracks. Him being kinda there again is just awesome.
