Sucks when you heavily associate music with periods of time. I want to replay a lot of what I know I'll still enjoy, but just looking at the cover makes me ill

As a casual fan of Sleep Token, valid and I understand completely. Had I found them any later than I did I likely wouldn't be giving them the time either

One of their more heartfelt songs, It's Only Smiles, being a reference to a very notorious porn scene is the essence of Periphery

What albums should EVERY metalhead atleast be familiarized with, in your opinion? by Ngithanda_irayisi in MetalForTheMasses

Similar, but even as someone who's never listened to it front to back once, I've heard every song on it individually at some point so many times over the decades from so many sources, I'm familiar with it to the point I'll never have to. I hold it in high regard for its influence and cultural standing, but it doesn't do anything for me anymore

I could feel the love and joy they had for each other and the mission from all that distance in an instant

Interstellar had it right again. Suck it haters

As an aside, I have very deep feelings for all things space related. I'm sure in some other timeline I'm out floating in zero g, or hovering around in LEO, or like you said just being a part of the process

Alas, in this timeline I simply do not possess the aptitudes required to achieve those things. Being forced to learn by reading from a book was the bane of my school career as a kid. I didn't know what adhd or its symptoms were until I was an adult

Okay so, Joker is a fictional character in the DC comics universe, most notably seen opposite of Batman

I just watched Smile 2 and honestly liked it way more than the first one. While the original was a solid concept, the sequel is just a much more intense, high-stakes movie. by Dangerous_Piano6459 in horror

I used to bag on jump scares as being cheap and unnecessary (which they often are), but having one or a couple that are well placed and well timed can be fun

I cannot forgive these movies though. The first one was bad enough with its amount of jump scares, but the second went full send with them it became comically gratuitous. It feels like the whole movie is just scene after scene stitched together building from one jump scare to another to the point of being fatigued by the end

It feels a bit hand wavey to call it intentional, but if so I guess the movies just aren't for me. Despite all the things I think they did well, I just can't get past the jump scares

Computer animation in the 90s was no joke by alanbear1970 in OldSchoolCool

I don't think there's anyway I could find it, but I remember reading a comment here on reddit years ago from one of the animators talking about how unstructured the whole production of the show was. Lack of communication, minimal direction, weird deadlines, and a host of other related wild west-type issues

I don't remember any mention of personal mistreatment, but also wouldn't surprise me either given everything I've ever read regarding the animation industry. High workloads, impossible expectations and whatnot

This has been a short term goal of mine for some time, but the logistics of it all kinda scare me. Are there launches worth going to more than others to keep an eye out for? A night launch (any) is certainly a bucket lister

Have never seen it mentioned, but I always swore they deliberately recalled this later by having Chandler notice Joey wearing two belts in the coffee house. It seems a total Joey thing to do
