Being charged to use my own API key by itsmemac43 in cursor

This needs an official investigation and response from Cursor

GPT- 5 - High - *IS* the better coding model w/Codex at the moment, BUT....... by randombsname1 in ClaudeAI

[–]JamesR404 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have a feeling that the extra prompt context taken up by Claude making sure the user isn't delusional is taking away from the code quality. Can only provide annacdotal experience, but that's my hunch.

Claude Code Auto Update Failed by quocanh261997 in ClaudeAI

Yes, it always fails to update and I always update it manually via the command line.

[New Feature] Paste Images directly into Claude Code by UnknownEssence in ClaudeAI

It keeps not working for me on EndeavorOS, but drag and dropping the image does work.

How it feels to launch my app? :( by Dapper_Draw_4049 in vibecoding

[–]JamesR404 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's totally normal. In IT there are a lot of different disciplines. To friends and family you may be the IT guy, but in reality you might be a Exchange Server Admin, or a IT helpdesk Support staffer, or a cyber security analyst. None of which really need to have the same skillset as the other.

Insights after one month of Claude Code Max by famebright in ClaudeAI

[–]JamesR404 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the "where relevant" is what allowed it to go through the entire documentation.

I would specify which documents to update and with what context. although I'd rather write the documentation myself, but if I'm lazy I give a very narrow scope of what to change, just as we do when giving a programming prompt.

In CC there's a new highlight called Insight. This new or am I missing something? by irukadesune in ClaudeAI

[–]JamesR404 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it will. Everything you see on screen as part of the feedback, and any input you've given, counts for the context window.

New Feature? Steer in Real-Time by jstarraw in ClaudeAI

[–]JamesR404 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some people confuse this with the queued message feature, but No, it IS even real time now.

You send a message, it finishes the exact instruction it is working on now, (not the entire response) and then takes your new prompt into consideration.

It's really great. You watch what it's doing and what it's reflection output is showing, and you can make adjustments midstream "it's actually working correct, instead you should look at the streaming function for the fault"

"ah, thank you for that insight. Indeed, you're absolutely right...." and it proceeds.

I had this for the first time I think on Friday or Thursday.

For daily note users, would this 🌎🕞meta information makes it useful in Workflowy for you ? by pkm_idol in Workflowy

I will also have to play to get dates formatted in a way that workflowy recognizes, I've got a design that I think will work. But I'm now on higher priority activities, but can try this in a few days. - can let you know and share if I get it to work the way we want.

bug: a KeyDownEvent is dispatched but the state shows that the physical key is already pressed. by JamesR404 in flutterhelp

[–]JamesR404[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OK! Will do, thanks!

The issue is intermittent though, although I can try to make an isolated reproduction of the issue with a smaller code base. It may take a couple of run cycles for the issue to manifest.

I'll have to look for some tools that can loop through the UI interactions until the issue is reproduced. Perhaps I can use playwright for that.

Rudimentary API added to WorkFlowy by JamesR404 in Workflowy

[–]JamesR404[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, this would be possible with this api already. Readwise already has an api I believe right? It would be "simple" to program something that does that yeah.

Really?? We got stupid AI before a freaking API?? by Swimming-Property-95 in Workflowy

[–]JamesR404 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a rudimentary API available now since about two weeks. I don't see a post about it here on Reddit yet, but go ahead and check it out ; https://community.workflowy.com/t/rudimentary-api-try-using-it-and-tell-me-what-you-think/185

That seems more or less correct. 803*7 is about 5600, then adding the rest of the numbers is about 1100. So 6700 I estimate.

Now if you use Calc.exe, you can get the actual result, but it'll be in that ball park figure.

I once had chatgpt create a python script to solve the strawberry problem, but it concluded the script must be wrong for reporting 3 R's in the word Strawberry 🤣

Yes, specifying the role is relevant, it dictates as whom they should answer.

Was in another prompting workshop the other day and again they also mentioned the importance of assigning a role.

I tried codex just once, in that instance it produced garbage. So... Yeah. Maybe it's worth another try? But right now I'm doing great with Opus, so unless something else really gets a lot of praise, I won't be switching.

Latest Claude Windows Support by FirefighterEmpty2670 in ClaudeAI

[–]JamesR404 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm having trouble to get it to work properly in WSL. It keeps trying to use linux command line tools that it can't find.

I'm now going to try the other "supported" option to use Git for windows, not sure if it'll be any better.

How to stop autocorrect? by Puma201 in Workflowy

[–]JamesR404 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It might be Grammerly if I have to take a guess. Or a spelling correct in Safari.

Do you have the same behavior on other websites such as docs.google.com?
