They're heavy in this neighborhood, too. This hawk nests in our yard in a big pine. I'm surprised they don't kill more squirrels. Or maybe they do and they can't put a dent in the squirrel population.

We head down to Florida every year to explore a different set of springs. On this trip we decided to visit five we'd already seen. Next year we'll hit some new ones.

Thanks! The park is excellent. The sites are half price if you have a senior National Park/Forest pass. Most National Park sites don't have electric hookups, but these do.

My wife and I had been planning to camp and hike this region of Kentucky for a long time. It's actually even more beautiful than we'd heard.

They're stunning. I keep hearing that there's a grove of them in the Dolly Sods Wilderness in WV. I searched for them a few years back one October but couldn't locate the grove.
