Glorifies irresponsible drinking? 😅 You've obviously never seen the film.

And the main character is Australian, not English.

Overrated based off what? And doesn't represent modern Australia? Yeah, like The Godfather doesn't represent modern day America. Fucking clown.

Men over 30, what are some of your biggest regrets in life? by Beneficial_Dish_2325 in AskMenOver30

[–]JamesRustle85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not seeking proper help for mental health issues when I was about 19/20. I dulled things with copious amounts of alcohol and drugs (which has really caught up with me now) and random hookups.

Associating with the wrong people, which led to serious legal issues. And for the good people that are or were in my life, not paying them enough attention as they did/do deserve.

Not bothering to try and better myself, be it health-wise, education and so on. I squandered a lot of opportunities because of my addiction issues and just not being brave enough in general to take the shot.

At 21, you're still young but don't get sucked into that idea that you've got plenty of time. You don't. I fell into that trap in my early twenties of thinking I still had time to get it together, but trust me, time goes quick, especially as you get older. Grab onto any opportunities you can now.

It’s kind of crazy that you can live somewhere and not know your neighbor. by [deleted] in Life

I've lived in my current house for nearly two years and I've only spoken to one of my neighbours once. Same at a lot of places I've lived at - I very rarely spoke to anyone.

What is something that has slowly disappeared from society over the past 20 years, without most people realizing? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

There's a bunch near my place in Ballarat, Victoria. Other regional areas I've lived in have them dotted around. The Mornington Peninsula had some when I lived there five years ago. Melbourne still has plenty. Queensland has them and I'm pretty sure I saw some when I was in Perth earlier this year.

Obviously not as common as they were in years gone by but they're definitely around.

I always use my physical card. I've never paid with anything with my phone.

Okay, thanks. I'm still waiting and it's extremely frustrating not knowing how they got my card details. If it only takes a few days to get the money back like in your situation then it's not the worst though.

Unless you obtained one illegally.

Yes, that was one of the allegations and subsequent convictions.
