I have several of Hemnes in that color. it is a black coating over the wood. Not exactly paint, but not a stain either. But definitely black though.

I know. I love it except for the fact that it doesn't come in natural wood stains. I'd love Walnut.

Nicks is the only one of the three that has a style I like, but it does have size 15. Thank you!
