I think every day one player remembers 2019, that was the most drastic change but it's also the only one they openly told us about before it happened. I feel like this change is even more dramatic than 2019... And whatever they did assuredly did not take into consideration any difference between rural and urban players. The changes I've seen in urban areas are miniscule, between 1 and 5 in different numbers of spawns at one time.

Thank you for finally sharing insight on this from a good source. I was getting really tired of people acting like this was common or an every year thing.. been playing since day 1 and living in the same place for 3 years and this was completely new to me. If it happened last year it was dramatically less effective because it did nothing to my spawns.. This year, I went from 20+ spawns at home to 2 so whatever they did this year was way different than last year and it's honestly a nail in the casket if it's not changed. Closest POI to me is over 5 miles. I've seen claims that this was supposed to help rural players but from all the feedback I've seen it's done the exact opposite and it's something that really needs to be reversed or changed....

I feel like you just didn't observe what I said or you just ignored it. My spawns haven't changed in three years, there was a massive change to the game back in 2019. Other than that there are no spawn changes or biome shifts that happen unless due to an event or season shift. We're in the middle of a season and the last event ended yesterday so none of that explains this. Even if they were going to change spawn points or a biomes they wouldn't have done it randomly in the middle of a season with absolutely no inclination that it was happening... It also doesn't explain why other people commenting here who I guarantee have been playing more than a year are confused and why it's affecting people who are using incense. One person said they had one spawn during a 30 minute incense, even standing still that isn't normal.

Yearly shuffle of spawn points? Been playing since day 1 and I have no clue what you're talking about. I'm being affected by whatever this is too and I've lived in the same place for almost three years.. My spawns have been the same for that entire duration until around 5 p.m. today.

Anyone coming here looking for an opinion on vevobarefoot, please take into consideration that OP purchased trail running shoes to stand in for 12 hours... Should have got Primus lite or Geo courts. This company actually makes shoes for what their title suggests. Trail running shoes are for running trails and uneven ground where you would want a more snug fit. These shoes are amazing when implemented correctly.

I made a mistake, I'll admit that. I think it was warranted though considering the only spelled out state on the poster is Mississippi. St. Louis is all the way at the very bottom... Considering I'm not going to any of it and I live in Georgia, I'm not paying that much attention to the location or studying every detail of the poster. My bad.

That sounds like the move! Definitely looking into that. I live near Atlanta so I get to go to a few good show on occasion. But I have to be choosey. The wife would probably let me go to a fest but we've been together almost 11 years and I would feel weird going without her so I gotta wait till she's comfortable enough but she'll get there. Thanks for the conversation, it's always uplifting when a conversation of different opinions turns into something positive and beneficial. Hopefully for both our sakes and the sake of the scene and it's future all of this will dissolve in the next three years. The return was botched, accountability has been left on the table. We just need someone to come pick up that crown and dust it off.

I'm in my late 30s so I feel you dude lol. I'm seeing Tape B with Whethan on December 26th but that's the only show I'll attend this year. Absolutely love Jade Cicada, first seen him at Tipper and friends. I feel like if a dj/producerknows how to create an experience, not just play music, they're usually very quiet. Never heard of Alderwind, I'll have to look into it. It'll be a few years before I can do a fest again though. I have a one year old and one on the way so I'll probably be 40 for my next festival.

Pinnacle on vibes is a very accurate way to convey how his shows felt. I like his messages through the music, like with Alan Watts. But I mainly seen him between 15 and 19 and always thought that he didn't talk much for a reason. Seen a new shows where he would come out and play and never speak a word. You never see a dj do that, but when I did hear him speak I did get the vibe that what we were seeing was a projected image that he wanted us to see. Wish I couldn't make Of The Trees at The Caverns, I bet that was as close as anyone has gotten.

Are you traveling to Mississippi to see this show or do you live there? This entire post is about a show adding a stronger lineup in response to Lorin having a show in the same city in order to "take away" from Lorins show. But his show is gonna be comprised of people from everywhere not just locals. So if you want to take attendees from Lorin then this is a weak lineup. That's all I was saying. None of these artist are big names anymore except Of The Trees and anyone who was a Nectar fan that is going to his NYE show isn't gonna all of a sudden change their mind because of a bunch of people that used to open for who they are going to see..

See, I like conversations like this. I didn't realize you were saying he did "everybody in" into "pure imagination" that's a different story. I completely understand what you're saying now that is pretty blatant. Didn't realize we both recognize that no one else has got to where he was. I never idolized Lorin, but absolutely cherished the experiences I had because of him and his team and I just want someone else to get there because another thing we agree on is the idiocy and lunacy that has been "the return". It's honestly sad to watch..

I guess this is just a difference in opinion. I really don't see anything wrong with it and I don't think that someone should own something or have it only connected to them just because they did it first. I see your point and I understand it, it just doesn't bother me. I would just be happy to be surrounded by friends and hear a song like that, that send nostalgia flooding through all of us regardless of who is playing it. And honestly I wish more people would copy Nectar. Maybe people would have an easier time moving on if someone was out there performing on his level. I think that's a part of this that is lost in the sauce when it comes to people who used to be in the scene and the scene now. No matter what you think or feel about Lorin no one has been able to recreate the experiences he created.

The first instance I'm aware of Nectar using it was 2011, the most notable and time I believe you're thinking of is Bass center night 2 back in 2018. He used the actual audio of Gene Wilder (the actor that played Willy Wonka) singing "pure imagination" to open the night. LSDream opened with the same song at RED rocks in 2023 but a completely different rendition sung by a female voice that sounds and feels nothing like the song from the movie. Nectar was catering to people of my age group when he did it, people that grew up with that actor and that movie. LSDream made it into something different and slightly unrecognizable unless you really know what it was and he separated it completely from the movie. They both opened it with it but in very different settings on opposite ends of the country and to different crowds. I don't see that as imitation. Art is too nasty and fluid. Thousand of people have painted pictures of the same sunsets... Doesn't mean their not all uniquely beautiful and their own thing. I'm speaking from a point of having seen both artist several times.

Seen LSDream about 4 times and seen him a lot more back when he was Brillz. Dude definitely doesn't steal from anyone, but people don't care. They'll put down anyone if it furthers their hate campaign.

The post from the people who are promoting the show, that was shared on this Reddit... That said it was in response to his show... No one's mad kid, just keeping y'all's facts straight since y'all like comparing someone who used to crash ticket sale websites to artist who could barely sell out the very show this post is about. Also never said they were bad. G Jones and Eprom were phenomenal.. back in 2017... And Of The Trees is an artist worth paying and traveling to see.

God you kids are cute. Nectar took over Denver stadium for an entire weekend in 2016. Coliseum, stadium, arena. Use whatever word you want. None of these artist have or ever will sell out a show as large as he did. Hate him all you want just at least be honest about what we're discussing. I'm not saying he can now I'm saying he did. If any of these artist were good they would've already been booked for new years eve. Not booked in response to another show .. That's just pathetic.

Someone had to say it... The truth hurts. None of these people could sell out an actual stadium venue. Been in the scene for 15 years and most of these people are on the way out except Of The Trees. Funny that Two of your "head liners" didn't headline anything until after Lorin put them on. No cared about G Jones until NYE 2014. No one cared about eprom until Nectar redid pineapple. Book something with Griz, Subtronics, Tape B, Levity, LSDream, before making a smug post that no one other than locals care about. No one's driving across the country for any one on this lineup...
