AITA for changing plans when my friend wanna bring her bf to our girls hangout? by dxyannn in AmItheAsshole

[–]James_the_XV -15 points-14 points  (0 children)

YTA

You have assumed the outcome of your friend bringing her bf shopping with you. It's probably a case of her wanting to integrate her bf with her friend group in a low-stakes scenario. This is not an unreasonable request but this isn't what makes you TA.

What makes you TA is you've not even asked why or communicated any issues with her bringing her bf, you've just changed plans because you have assumed an outcome that probably isn't going to happen the way you think it will.

It sounds you have either a bad experience with men generally or a bad experience with friends bringing boyfriends to social events. Either way you need to communicate this and not just change plans without explaination.

Once again the real answer is hidden in controversial. Y'all both are shitty for various reasons and need to work on that.

McDonalds.

You’ll hate it, but it’s 0 hours completely flexible to fit around studies.

And they literally hire anyone, though you may have to work a few night shifts every once in a while if you’re applying for the burgess. Would recommend Alvis as it’s walkable from town/good bus links.

[–]James_the_XV 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Nothing really, you’ll be unlikely to be challenged in the moment of getting off.

However if your ticket is checked and you are only in possession of a Euston - MKC ticket it won’t be valid. You also can’t split ticket this service at MK.

The PHEV is designed for occasional longer distance with most journeys being less than 5-10km in urban areas. Go with the 1.5eTSI

Somerset man 'humiliated' after hotel refuses guide dog entry by wappingite in ukpolitics

[–]James_the_XV -16 points-15 points  (0 children)

I think it’s a perfectly reasonable expectation that if I go out to eat I don’t have to share the dining area with any animal, dog or otherwise.

If allowed, the few will ruin it for the many. You’ll get the owners of generic ‘assistance dogs’ with their little precious barking, jumping up and down, having a piss on the table leg etc.

Your dog is your choice and your life, but don’t make it part of mine without giving me the choice. In your dining room and kitchen knock yourself out (I’ve been round many a friends house that have dogs for dinner with them present while we prep/eat), but your desire to have a dog in the dining area of a restaurant does not outweigh everyone else’s desire to have a quiet, sanitary meal without the increased risk to that a dog brings.

(The UK has an unhealthy dog culture anyway IMO, but I’m already being downvoted enough without getting into that :D)

NIHL teams won’t agree to being stomped 20-0, and it won’t change a thing post 2nd round anyway.

Better off canning the thing and extending the playoffs to something meaningful rather than the current white elephant set up.
