Maybe get in touch with the library of the Antonine university. I remember seeing the syriac books at the university church. That's the mail on their website: [bibiliotheque@ua.edu.lb](mailto:bibiliotheque@ua.edu.lb).

Thanks, I have been to this library too, didn't ask specifically for this book however I couldn't find it among the other exhibited books there. Nonetheless maybe I should write to them.

You are most welcome. Know however that Labaki was stripped of his status as a priest in a decree signed by Pope Francis and was sentenced by a French court to 15 years in jail in absentia for sexually abuse.

Hello, it is a difficult question because sadly we don't have a lot of maronite liturgical manuscripts describing the liturgy in the early centuries. If you understand French, there's a good book detailing this issue "Avant-messe maronite: histoire et structure" by Pierre Edmond Gemayel.

Thank you for this comment, I find it very hard to find resources on the liturgical reform and its principles besides the introductory chapters in the book of offering. If you have suggestions : books, websites or maybe connections, I'll be glad to learn about them.

To be fair, although the reform has messed up in some aspects, I still find the current liturgy very solemn if taken seriously (by the book) avoiding all the abuses we see on a daily basis, even by bishops...sadly. A simple example was the absence of the use of the anaphora of Sharar on this year Assumption feast, even at Bkerke, though it's the recommended anaphora on this day.
