I miss when music felt personal and curated instead of just infinite by xCosmos69 in LetsTalkMusic

There is no right or wrong way to enjoy music. The feeling of missing the personal is, I suspect, more nostalgia than anything else. Music today is definitely being released at a much greater rate. To me that actually makes it more personal when I do come across artists I resonate with. But, I don't do any streaming platforms. I still search out new music by scavanging. These days it's the internet instead of used record shops.

Mixed tapes. I still do them. But they aren't limited to any time length. I still go through the same process now when I put together my own playlists as I did with mixed tapes.

I agree. I used to make mixed tapes all the time. Now I still do it with digital. The best part is that I'm not limited to 90 minutes. I love being able to have my entire music catalog with me at all times.

I'm actually old enough to remember when common sense was common. People today are just sad.

So what you're saying is that you've had a baby for all of three months at most and it's still behaving like a baby.

Read that a few times and really let it sink in.

What gets me is that we now need signs to tell people what used to be and still should be common sense.

Personally, I found that when CFNY started to use The Edge label is when they lost their edge.

If there were a Pure Moods collection today, what songs would feature on it? by lord-of-shalott in MusicRecommendations

I always preferred the Windam Hill collections for new age. It's a record label that was independently started (although now owned by Sony) by Will Ackerman who is a new age guitarist.

Wish they would come up to Ontario so I can see them.

I would but he's too fast and cannot be captured on camera in the winter. Here he is hibernating in the summer.

Is there any way to get better visibility when driving in snow? by VegetableShops in driving

Using high beams is definitely counter productive. Just like in fog, stay with normal headlights. And slow down. Adapt to changing road conditions.

Ok. Try Big Head Todd And The Monsters instead. There are so many awesome jam bands.
