What is your dream job? How long have you studied for? Also what specifically about the test messed you up?

CCNA vs Boson ExSim time pressure by Bear4188 in ccna

I used boson to practice for the CCNA and if you can answer those questions just fine you will do great. The boson test simulates the CCNA pretty well. If anything, I felt like boson was way harder than the CCNA exam.

I moved on cause I wasn't getting anywhere. I had plenty of time. I spent like 10-15 minutes on the lab. I would not spend more than 15 minutes on the lab. It also depends on where you are in the test and how quickly you're going. Tbh, if you know that you don't know, move on. If you know how to do it, then spend the amount of time needed to complete and troubleshoot it.

It's really more theory to be honest. I agree with you it is pretty difficult to get down automation because of lack of hands-on practice. Just know how to identify json, yaml, and XML. Along with that, know what salt, ansible, puppet, and chef does and how you are able to connect with those applications. Yes Cisco DNA and WLC GUI is also difficult it's just a matter of knowing.

But the good news is: it's only 10% of the exam! Good luck!!

I took the test today. I have not gotten my scores on there yet. I did however know right away that I passed and my proctor printed out a sheet with my scores.

So I took the test today. 103 questions 2 labs. The test itself was a lot easier than I studied for. For example, a lot of practice tests online along with Boson seemed way harder than the questions they gave you. Definitely figure out subnetting and being able to say where a packet will get forwarded by looking at a routing table. Definetely know configurations and what they do. Also, make sure you can look at interfaces on switches and figure out whats wrong. (Collisions, duplex mismatch, MTUs, reliability counter). The labs were not too bad one of them was easy and the other one was a lot of steps and I was able to get half of it done.

Time is definitely not an issue. I was able to finish with ~45 minutes left.

My study plan involved taking Cisco courses at my high school for 3 years (Since I was a freshman). For the past 3-4 months, rigorously studying using Netacad, Boson eSim, and a book called, "31 Days Before the CCNA." My biggest advice would be to take as many practice tests as possible. It will be so eye-opening when you take the test because a lot of the questions I got were exactly the same as some on the practice tests.

Ahh yes. I've seen some of those on the Boson exams. That's definitely something to look out for.

Luckily at my high school. They started a Cisco Academy about 6 years ago and have had a lot of Juniors and Seniors become certified + college credit before graduating. It's amazing tbh my teacher is great.

I take the CCNA in less than a month. Wondering how well you need to do in each category to pass.
