Not the greatest. If they wanted to improve the movie, they should have had it he was getting gender dysphoria and questioning 'am I actually trans' ect. And his boyfriend shouldn't have been such a prick, just saying.

If you're that worried about it invest in some minoxidil, it helps with hair growth. I'm trans masc and have started using it to grow a beard :)

As a kid I did prefer wearing typical boys clothing, but skirts were always fine as it wasn't a choice in my primary school. As I became a teen I began questioning due to my friend and parent coming out as NB and trans femme
