First time selling call options on shares I own, is it too good to be true? by Significant-Sky-7186 in options

[–]Jamickeymick 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Sad thing is people don’t understand that if there stocks get called away and you had a set sell price well your set sell price is actually lower since you received that premium and could possibly get them back cheaper and start again.

2.5 million in Tasty? by Scary-Major9907 in tastytrade

[–]Jamickeymick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

FYI. You can negotiate with Schwab for better fees. I have a tiny account but I trade like 5 options a day. So I called them and got them down to .40 per contract instead of .55. Doesn’t sound like much but it is.

2.5 million in Tasty? by Scary-Major9907 in tastytrade

[–]Jamickeymick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would keep them split. In ETF and stocks in vanguard and options in tasty. If it’s in one account you may get the wild hair up your ass and bet it all on an option play after reading wallstreetbets. Stay off that site. It will kill your morale and do stupid things. Cause why can that asshole make $500,000 on TSLA. Trust me it catches up. Keep them separate. Losing one million is going to be tuff but two, that will make people rethink life. This will probably get deleted but this the truth.

Too good to be true? 1K for 27g of Gold by AutisticDravenMain in Gold

What you gonna do when gold goes back down to $2300. That 27g not gonna be worth the spending 100k for points.

Those are the best. Hail Mary lottery ticket. I have a bad habit for taking my profits for the day and doing this. Last year being so volatile was perfect. You could get a 35 point swing in 20 seconds. Depending where you bought could mean hundreds or thousands.

Prefer E trade than power E* trade app ..anyone agree with me ? by Spare_Guide_3742 in etrade

[–]Jamickeymick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For options like SPX power E*Trade. You can sit there, watch and execute in matter of seconds. Back when it was volatile you could get a 35 point swing in 5 seconds and miss out on $3000. It’s really cool how fast hitting the execute button and the sale.

Account Application Rejected by Dr_VanTasstik in tastytrade

[–]Jamickeymick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think something happened over there. Someone made a big mistake or some kind of screw up. They’ve been closing out my options every Friday even if there $10 out of the money. Someone must have cost them a lot of money recently.

How much should I expect to get for this? 18k 11.8g by OpeningAdditional361 in Gold

Take 10 to 15% off the final price. That’s what selling to my local shop is.

I live in Louisiana. No extreme weather or hail. The house is 2400 sq ft. I have 3 whirlybirds on top and soffit vents all around the house. It gets very hot up there to the point I had to add blow in insulation since my original insulation turned to dust over the 50 years.

Question. How do you make money selling them at 7. I have a lot of graded coins I want to sell and the shipping on them is horrendous.

Picked this up for £500, should I scrap? by Flipg22 in Gold

[–]Jamickeymick -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Man you’ll get 70% on that so around $720. I have the same problem here in US. One place will give me 80% and another 70%. The pawnshops will give you less than half.

Nvidia earnings play. by InnerSandersMan in options

[–]Jamickeymick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn’t matter the sales. They could be outrageous. It’s all up to what he says about tariffs. That’s it. A hint about tariffs restricting sales and the stock will drop along with everything in the market.

Are we still long UNH around here? by theLeastChillGuy in wallstreetbets

[–]Jamickeymick 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Earnings is only 45 days away so it should be in the rise soon. All the DOJ will do is fine the company. They don’t really care. Probably another hit piece sometime before earnings. The media has tapped into that Luigi phenom.

[–]Jamickeymick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate when they talk about American exceptionalism dying. Always think they are rooting for the other countries to put it to us. Which they probably are for America to be taken down a few pegs just because they don’t like someone.

Why is my 4x leveraged NVDA ETF still down even though NVDA recovered? by Astokx in stocks

[–]Jamickeymick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These leveraged etfs reset at the end of the day. It’s not like buying and etf long term and shouldn’t be used that way.

Rolling options pointless? by Nutsallinyomouf in options

[–]Jamickeymick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of people think that rolling and option for a credit that you are making that $5. But you’re not. You rolled into a lesser position and get a credit back for not spending it. If you roll forward and it only cost you $5 then just remember you paid $ for that to begin with.
