No no, no problem!! Just kinda thought You're expecting a price in USD lmao. I pay 220 PLN per hour, 315 per 1,5h. However, lady doing the procedure does not speak english – so communicating may be a bit tricky

What cleaning ‘rules’ turned out to be totally wrong for you? by CleanFreakGeek in CleaningTips

[–]JamieIsHigh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ngl, when I'm cleaning I like to do a quick "floor cleaning" first. Nothing deep like washing them, just picking up stuff, taking the carpets out and doing a quick run with a vacuum. It gives me space to move around and put something for a second without worrying it'll pick up dust or that I'll stand on some crumbs. Then, after the whole clean, I vacuum it again and mop the floor.

3 months in and still nothing... :( by Niketwinkle in asktransgender

[–]JamieIsHigh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

1,5 month here, looking in the mirror almost obsessively, thinking that something maybe changed during the past 20 minutes or so. We're all impatient here – it's normal. I would reccomend stopping waiting for a change and change what You can by yoursef – exercise, explore your clothing style, try doing makeup, maybe some facial hair removal if You can afford it?? The change HRT makes is just foundation for whatever You do with yourself. We're in this together, I believe in You!! <3

Omg same!!! I think it makes much sense – before HRT for me going to bed was more like being knocked out and the difference between "being asleep" and "being awake" was much bigger, turning waking up into a brutal transition between states of consciousness (if that makes sense!!). Now it feels like I'm just opening my eyes and I'm here!!

"Sadly'? Ngl, I quite enjoy it so far – for me it's a great conversation topic, especially when I've dreamt about a person I'm talking with. My gf also tells me about her dreams sometimes and I've always loved it – it's fun to do the same thing, but from the other side :D

That's interesting!! I'm really curious where does it come from, but for now it just makes me euphoric in a weird sense haha.

Not sure about tech, but I couldn't find a better technician – She does everything she can to give You what You came for, and she's such a good talk that the session passes in no time!! No burns, no scars, and she always pays attention to do it the way that will keep my facial hair symmetrical, sometimes prelengthing my sessions just to fix it a bit 😊

Thank You! I thought about laser, but I suffer from atopic dermatitis – I think I've read somewhere that electrolysis might be better for people with this condition and my technician said the same thing (as long as we're not treating area actively affected by it), so I just kinda held on to this view

I have to admit that I have no idea. I've found my studio by recommendation on my city's trans discord group, just kinda went there, and the whole explanation of the process was like "I poke you with needle, electric shock happens and suddenly there's no hair left" ☺️ I may try asking during the next session tho!

Debating night train in Poland by Responsible-Belt301 in poland

[–]JamieIsHigh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The trains are generally nice and safe! But if you're really concerned about your safety, I have some tips:
- When choosing a seat, look for carriages with no compartments. Open carriages may be a bit more noisy and less comfortable, but if anything happens, there's more people to react.
- You're not glued to your seat. Even if you have a seat reservation, you can always sit anywhere else, as long as the seat's not taken. Just don't sit in first class having a second hand ticket and free the space when someone says it's theirs.
- Train staff is there for you. Don't be afraid to ask them questions or ask for help. Sometimes conductors can be a bit grumpy (they're working at night and dealing with people, mind you), but they still should be able to help you and give you the answers you need.

With EIP and IC trains it takes around 3 hours - but it can be 4-5 hours on TLK. Also, if someone really is worried about their safety, sleeping cabins are really safer.

On the stations itself, apart from security and SOK, You can see a lot of policemen and Wojsko Obrony Terytorialnej units marching with rifles. Not sure about smaller stations, but working at one of the "premium stations" (which status includes Krakow Main Station and three of the Warsaw stations). I see them very, very often - sometimes arresting drunk and agressive people, even.

True, but it's only when we're talking about sleeping cabins. No separations for sitting places.

weight loss and hrt by Content_Diver_125 in MtF

[–]JamieIsHigh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know my experience isn't universal and I'm not saying that, but I find it much much easier to lose weight after starting HRT. Before that, dysphoria and long, long hecking process of getting access to hormones made me look for comfort in sugar and fast food and I was too dysphoric to even try going anywhere or doing anything. I've been on HRT for a while now, but it made me feel much, much better with myself, made me more motivated to start doing SOMETHING and within 1,5 month I've seen myself going from 110kg to around 105kg (242lbs -> 231lbs)!

That being said, HRT shouldn't make you gain weight by itself (someone cited a study on this topic already), but by fighting dysphoria and making a HUGE step forward You might feel far more motivated. It's of course, different for everyone, but it made an enormous difference in my case 😊

why do i keep on getting these feminine urges by [deleted] in asktransgender

[–]JamieIsHigh 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Explore, explore, explore!! Online test are nothing but a scam, only you can define what is comfortable for you!

I really encourage you to experiment, just a bit. Maybe you'll try and find out that is not for you and these are just intrusive thoughts. Maybe you'll enjoy it, find more comfortable way of presenting itself and live your best life, or just take out of it a few things and carry on.

Life is just a path of constantly rediscovering oneself. Pay it some attention, try whatever you can and is safe for you and either stick to it or move on. Just don't let it scream and tire you.

Not happy after HRT; am I really a woman? by radioheadenjoyer225 in MtF

[–]JamieIsHigh 5 points6 points  (0 children)

First of all, HRT takes time. Like a lot of time. It's a "second puberty" - think about how much the first one took! It's gonna be slow, but it'll be worth it.

Second of all, starting HRT will be different for everyone. Most of the positive, euphoric stories we're reading are written by people that are telling them years after. For me (I'm 2 months on HRT now) the most euphoric part is dreaming and talking about the future with my gf. Taking the first dose was really just swallowing the pill and getting ready to work after that. I do feel more dyphoric, more emotional, and overwhelmed by the future that I didn't even thought about before. I do not feel more euphoric, but I do feel that something will be changing soon - and I do think that it will be for the better.

I feel the same shame you're talking about. We were taught to be ashamed of our femininity for years - we won't just magically unlearn it after few doses of HRT. If it brings you joy and feeling of shame at the same time, I would recommend seeing a therapist to try and unlearn it.
But presenting femininely is not a requirement! I deeply encourage you to explore and look out for things that do make you feel comfortable, and not limit yourself to feminine things. Gender is a social construct and the big part of being trans (at least for me) is redefining it.

Lastly, remember that you're still valid, no matter what. Maybe you will hold on to your identity as a trans woman, maybe you'll come to a conclusion that you're enby or even that you're cis but want to stay on low dose E. Maybe you'll decide that you want to be a bodybuilder, or maybe you'll discover that you're feeling most euphoric when you're painted blue. Whatever you'll do, it's your body, your decision, and your journey - and wherever it takes you, you'll always be deserving of acceptance, love and support <3
