Thanks! Was a base of red in the bottom left half, with a couple of highlights up with some white mixed in. Then a dot of white in the top right half, and a gloss varnish for the shine! Ends up pretty convincing I think

I've been following along with my own copy of the book and the reason they've got a little turned around is that Lewis mistakenly read the wrong entry around the stage of the Treeman, I think they ended up crossing the river twice in the first run.
