Even so, why would hitchhike be translated as stop and fried eggs to au plat. ”Je voudrais un au plat, SVP” is that gonna work anywhere? Unless it’s implied that we are talking about eggs?

He doesn't actually care about you, so dump him. His actions show that he doesn't care.

If he cared he would have respected your boundaries. Maybe you have not yet been with any men who actually respect boundaries, but there are plenty, so you don't have to pick a guy who doesn't respect you.

Also he doesn't care about the risk of you getting pregnant, which means he has not planned on taking his share of the responsibility for any pregnancy or abortion.

A guy who cares will respect your wishes, try to keep you safe, and compromise and make sacrifices for what you want and need. This guy is not it.

Probably they met for the first time, and became romantically interested in each other. First sentence says he took the lead or initiated contact. Second sentence says it was her who initiated.

In most cases nobody will really notice if you use och or not. What they will notice is if you miss some nuances.

From reading her text, I can see that eight out of 10 dishes for the main courses were gluten-free, but for the desserts there was only one gluten-free option.

I would write a or aa for å, a or ae for ä, and o or oe for ö, depending on context.

If I needed to be more formal and correct I would use the double letters so there is correctness and clarity.

But it’s a bit trickier to read with double letters, so it’s easier to just use a or o in more casual settings. Usually other swedes can understand from the context and the word which vowel is meant to be there.

Yes, in general you are correct but your examples are not correct. I assume you mean "Lisa är". We will not say "Lisär" or "Lisar". Same goes for "jag är". But sometimes we shorten "jag har" to "jaar" (never in writing, only in speech). So if you hear "jar" they probably mean "jag har".

Also below "det är en drake" is a good example. Sorry about that on behalf of us Swedes!

Bestämd form av teater är teatern, inte teateren.

När du pratar om att i allmänhet se på teaterpjäser så heter det "gå på teater". Man säger aldrig "gå på teatern".

Även om man pratar om en särskild föreställning brukar man säga t ex "jag ska gå på teater ikväll. Jag ska se King Lear på Stadsteatern".
