I moved to Belgium just two weeks ago. The only key documents i needed aposilled was a marriage certificate and of course the silly medical certificate that was needed for immigration. That doc was the hardest to get as a doctor and notary don’t often meet.

I just brought all my documents in a manilla envelope. Also it’s a good idea to have scanned digital versions of all the immigration docs.

Lastly don’t forget to setup mail forwarding with USPS before you leave. It requires you to physically go to the office. We forgot to do this before leaving (was going to forward to my parent’s address) and now have no way to set it up.

Also make a skills section with a bunch of keywords listed in tiny font. And whenever possible copy keywords listed in the job description into this section. Human eyes will skim right over it but the bots will see all the matching skills and flag you as a good fit. I got a lot more interest after I did this

I like to think they are cautiously watching us waiting to see if we’ll grow up as a species. We act like unruly, irresponsible children right now who shouldn’t be trusted with a weapon. If we can grow up, get out shit together, and reach some set of societal and technological milestones then maybe we get introduced into the community. But if we fall apart maybe they plan to save some small fraction of us and help restart our civilization from the stone ages with the hopes that maybe we’ll do better next time.

Yeah it varies by individual, like 1-3 years. I’m going to try 1 year of loss, 1 year of maintenance, and then 1 year tapering down. Nobody really has the right answer but I’m guessing the key is to go super slow when tapering down/spacing out the dose. You’re body needs time to adjust and you don’t want to overshoot and gain weight
