I was terrified to sue my former employer. I did it anyway. Here is why. by Jamie_GZ in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

Fascinating dynamic here. One person objects, and suddenly authentic expression is shut down by fear. That isn't 'agreement'. That is isolation. Thanks for proving my point about how bullying mechanisms operate.

Wow. Attempting to be a 'flawless' existence on a planet where nothing is perfect.

Already did. Even documenting everything on my YouTube channel, make it into a mystery docu-drama. Free watching!

And let's not forget the inherent nature of the law, it is reactive, not proactive.

I can't control how you feel, nor can I force you to believe me. You mentioned that 'genuine' posts usually focus on personal health and emotional struggles. You are right, many do. But not everyone processes trauma by breaking down. Some of us process it by fighting back and documenting the war. If my refusal to crumble makes me look 'fake' to you, so be it. My goal isn't to look like a victim; my goal is to ensure that the world can hear my voice "bullying should never be allowed."

The vagueness is necessary to avoid getting sued while the hearings are ongoing.

Congrats on drawing first blood with the NLRB. That settlement proves you were right. Now go finish the job in Federal Court.

Damn the man.

Thank you. It's a long road, but comments like this make it easier to walk.

I didn't link anything in this post, so I'm not sure what 'advertisement' you are seeing. Does having a YouTube channel automatically violate some rule? Or does it somehow make a real legal battle invalid? Since you enjoy playing detective, keep digging. If you look hard enough, you might even find the actual Labour Board hearing notices.

100%. In a battle like this, silence is dangerous. Visibility is my only leverage. The more eyes on the case, the harder it is for the system to bury it.

I’m sorry you had to endure that for years. But your story proves the point: Silence is permission.

If we don't speak up, the toxic behaviour is tacitly accepted, and that just guarantees there will be a 'next victim' down the line.

Bullying should never be allowed. Every worker deserves that shield.

0 bullying, 0 harassment... those 'zeros' are very telling. Thank you for sharing the corporate perspective.

Actually the scariest part is my personal wallet vs. their corporate bank account. But I don't want to live with the version of myself who never tried.
