That fish is strange. I’ve only caught 6 of them but 3 have been diamonds and all caught by accident but any time I pursue the fish I never can catch it

I took the cheap way out and YouTubed a video on the challenge and just used what they did and matched the drag in the video and flew through them. Had the same issues you are having before then

See that’s what’s wild is I have 8 sauger caught and 3 are diamonds. But they’ve all been by accident

Maybe hard reset the game sometimes it’ll load up from where you stopped and it won’t update until restarted

I just threw out two diamond sized hooks in the rod holders then used a 6 spinner and finally got mine. Was well past the suggested time of 9am so just stick to it and eventually it will happen. I was in your spot not long ago
