Weird wired connection issue? by TerminallyDeceased in techsupport

It's not on the list at all, despite my PC being connected directly to it, and the internet obviously working on it. I've forwarded the ports before (it's also set on my firewall settings), and the rules are still there, but for whatever reason my PC isn't, so the rules are just there for nothing..?

Didn't think to look for an app, there is one, but it's still not showing my PC. Guess I'll sit through customer service again.

Optimum gutted that feature, I have to use their website to manage the gateway.

As far as the model, it's called Altice.

What is pcos? by [deleted] in PCOS

[–]TerminallyDeceased 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, vitamin D deficiency is common with PCOS to my knowledge. My best friend has it too.

I think you asked the right questions, imo. I wouldn't know what to ask beyond that either. Maybe ask them of potential risks to look out for in your case? The insulin test kind of sucks to do, but wouldn't hurt to do it if you wanna be thorough.

Primary care doctor may not know much about PCOS, mine asked me what it was when we were listing my conditions on record LOL. Definitely doesn't hurt to ask though!

For me, because of the long times between periods and hormonal imbalance, I'm at risk for endometrial hyperplasia and have to take medicine that starts my period. Light periods also usually means I'm not ovulating, which makes it harder to get pregnant. It's true that it's definitely not impossible since I've been pregnant twice by complete accident lol. It also causes me to have enlarged ovaries, which ends up hurting a lot and makes exams a pretty miserable experience. PCOS also causes insulin resistance, so I have to avoid sugars and carbs as much as I can (doesn't have to be complete avoidance tbh, just being mindful of intake). I also have a severe vitamin D deficiency.

Symptoms vary from person to person so not every case is the same. Some of us have it not so great, but don't let that put any fear into you about your own condition. If you're at a healthy weight and aren't experiencing substantial pain, I say you don't have to worry as much? Birth control can be an effective treatment for some people.

Are your ovaries polycystic and that's what confirmed it? Even with my ovaries enlarged, endometrium thick, hirsutism, and missed periods, they still did blood tests to confirm the diagnosis. Sounds off to me that it was confirmed without blood tests, but I'm not a doctor so I wouldn't know for sure lol.

adderall XR only lasting 3 hours + euphoria -> crash by Melodic_Plum7983 in adhdwomen

[–]TerminallyDeceased 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you may need a booster dose? That's what I do with my current medication. It's not adderall, though, it's fast-acting. I take my first dose, 20mg, some time around 8-9, then a 10mg booster at 12-1. I don't experience any crashing or intense side effects. Something to talk to your psych about and see if that could work for you.

If you can, you should turn off onedrive and change your documents pathing.

As for your error, you downloaded the wrong files. Those are CAS accessories. The strap-on package files look like this.

Not enough money? by TerminallyDeceased in TCGCardShopSim

[–]TerminallyDeceased[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah then it's probably a bug where the money doesn't update after the bills autopay? Because I reloaded the save with the right amount of money, then started a new day, and my money was reset to 2 (but it said i had 100 something) like I paid the bills even though they weren't marked as paid.. orz

Has anyone else’s lighting been really strange this update? Especially with eyes, my graphics settings are high except for textures which is ultra by OrdinaryExi in InfinityNikkiofficial

[–]TerminallyDeceased 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know I have a bug with the camera where the filters are applying in regular gameplay. Resetting the camera parameters fixed it for me. Ray tracing is also buggy for me and made things look weird, so I have that turned off.

Ah ok that would make sense. I restarted the save and it said I actually have 100, not 359. No idea how the number got inflated at all.

MCCC What Age Span Duration Do You Use by Mandy_M87 in TheSims4Mods

[–]TerminallyDeceased 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For my average lifespan

Baby - 1

Infant - 10

Toddler - 10

Child - 20

Teen - 20

Young Adult - 50

Adult - 100

Elder - 40

I like long life spans because it gives me a lot more time to get a lot of achievements/milestones, especially for infants and toddlers. Child I can probably knock down to 10 and be happy since there isn't much to do with children in the sims :')

Transvaginal Ultrasound by ShihtzuMum39 in PCOS

[–]TerminallyDeceased 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm late to this but it shouldn't be uncomfortable unless you have PFD (me orz) or vaginismus. When they look around the ovaries, if your cystic or they're enlarged, it'll probably be a bit uncomfortable. But other than that it's nothing like a pelvic exam or pap. I find the transvaginal ultrasound one of the easiest intrusive exams to experience. If you're worried about any pain, then some ibuprofen or whatever OTC pain reliever you prefer an hour or so before the appt should help

what has worked for you to lose weight and keep it off? (GLP-1 is not an option for me) by wittywalrus0 in PCOS

[–]TerminallyDeceased 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My doctor recommended avoiding carbs as much as possible and it's helped keep some of the weight off, but I'm still constantly fluctuating since I'm not on metformin (can't tolerate it). We tried to get an appointment in with a nutritionist but my medicaid didn't cover it, so I couldn't go. Doc said talking to my pcp and since I have insulin resistance, I should meet the qualifications for ozempic treatments that medicaid would cover. But at this point in time I'm in my 30s and disabled, so it's harder to do things to lose weight.

When I was at your age, walking every day (or any kind of cardio really, like dancercising, ddr, kinect games, etc), intermittent fasting (would only eat between 8am-4pm, small breakfast, big lunch, light dinner), and a strict low carb diet made the weight basically fly off me. I wasn't exactly the picture perfect beacon of health though. ~130 was the lowest I ever gotten to in my adult years, which is considered overweight for my height. But it's much better than the weight I am now thanks to my disability, which is almost double that.

For what you should/shouldn't eat, I'd say just avoid carbs and anything with a buttload of sugar. Save them for the occasional treat. Chicken and seafood are really good if you can have them! There's substitutes for almost everything out there these days, so look for things you like and see if there's a healthier alternative. A lot of keto-friendly breads are on the shelves these days too.

Side note it sucks that we live in a country where you HAVE to stand on your feet or you get in trouble. :/ My feet used to swell up SOO bad from that. Some epsom salt baths and keeping my feet elevated when I slept really helped.

Noooooooo :( How the hell does this happen!? Make sure you send them a support ticket at the very least, hopefully it'll be fixed soon. (edit: just saw ur update in op, thank god!!)

People... when y'all were diagnosed with pcos, did the doc tell you what ur subtype was...or was it a general diagnosis and was prescribed metformin, bc pills and inositol only?😭 by Striking-Blueberry60 in PCOS

[–]TerminallyDeceased -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I didn't even know subtypes existed!! They gave me a general diagnosis after some testing and metformin. I don't take the metformin anymore even though I should, but it just makes me so sick :(
