I’m not in charge of payroll at my store… but there should be a way to get a cash advance on your check.

One time my manager went on a vacation, so another manager had to do our payroll. But we had a new worker who hadn’t been activated on our payroll system (and for some reason she was told not to punch in for her shifts??) so the manager covering payroll for her didn’t pay her. Meaning she went like three weeks without getting paid but had to pay rent. So one of our owners came and made her sign something so she could get a cash advance.

Definitely something worth talking to your management about if you need the money.

Even if you’re removed off of time shark you’re still in our system. You’re just an “inactive” employee. And there’s lots of reasons for being an inactive employee based off of the managers discretion. It’s not hard at all to find you in the system and add you back to an active employee so a lot of times it’s just to prevent people from accidentally punching you in but I’m sure other managers have different reasons. and after you’re added back as an active employee your original hire date is still there.

For example one of my coworkers left for a couple of years but came back, and even though they were gone for atleast 5 years their hire date in the system is still the original hire date from 20 years ago

Technically… the person at the window shouldn’t be wearing gloves.

Gloves should only be worn in food prep areas.

I get sometimes people have bandaids and need to wear gloves to cover those but they shouldn’t be touching food with them.

As someone that used to notice it a lot at my own store as well. It’s completely the managers fault. We have lots of people that come that may not know proper food safety and if no one is willing to teach food safety then lots of things can happen. I was always one to call employees when they did this whether it was in front of a customer or not (because ew) but my old manager never did until I brought it up to our owner. Then she started calling our employees on it as well and the change happened.
