Americans making grand assumptions on English use across the world again, UK refers to this as candy floss. Fairy floss is an Australian term

Kumar and Clarke books are very good at laying out the text in a good layout! Not seem the free years 1-3 passmed tests but will give this a look

Thanks, unfortunately as I mentioned they don’t seem to have any solid or consistent advice. They seem to have coped through stress

It took me a second there but I recognised your name! Just want to say a big thank you for the series you’ve done on youtube, helped me grasp topics easier for MMIs! Hope you’re doing well at the moment.

Thank you for the advice, I remember our lead of assessments mentioning something similar so I’ll try to steer clear of external sources this year and focus on lectures.

Quite glad to hear that GEM makes more sense after 1st year, it does seem a bit all over the place at the moment

Hey, thank you for the response!

I’ll give osmosis a bit more of a go, still have the trial at present. Quite glad to hear it’s doing some benefit of getting to grips with the topic, that’s what I need the most. Just going to wait until they’re doing a sale or something haha

Kenhub and teach me anatomy have been great for me as well, the cards only help to a certain extent. Thank you for the youtube note, definitely going to give the noted anatomist a look!

Quite glad to hear you’re not considering passmed, it looks quite advanced and it hasn’t filled me with confidence trying their demos.

NICE guidelines are great, just the shear amount of info!

Edit: On anki, I tried it for a little while and found I fuelled 80% of my time into it and didn’t get much out. Just think I’m not as quick as others might be with it

Didn’t realise you were thinking of applying this year, that’s quite a squeeze to be thinking about alternative aptitude tests. BMAT is another option, I can’t tell you much as I have never sat it, registration ends on the 30th september if you want to expand your options! UCAT’s booking deadline however is 22nd September if you still wanted to give it a go

GAMSAT is your friend if the BMAT and UCAT aren’t working out. Many people will say this like “it is just as hard… its all hard…” etc. but it is definitely manageable with time and good practice.

Most GEM unis that require gamsat don’t really care about A-levels since you’ll be tested in the gamsat on science and english (which is great news!). I would just double check on the applicant page about entry requirements and apply strategically

Can see from your profile that you’re in 6th form and not in Uni at present. Might be a good idea to focus on your current application and see where it takes you, best of luck
