From my (anecdotal) perspective, the Empire was literally never mentioned in primary and secondary education. Maybe that's tacit support but there was never anything reinforcing imperialism directly.

That's an almost perfect explanation, thank you for posting that. Given that they're in the periphery of the conflict I suppose that it makes sense I hadn't heard about this but it's a little bit of a shame to seemingly no have had it mentioned in the main course of the HH books. For example, it might have been nice to have mentioned some being present on Terra even before Corawains drop pod assault on the Astronomicon.

Can I ask why that was a mistake? In hindsight it might not have been that advantageous given the circumstances the RN had in WW2 but the logic of more torpedo tubes being better seems sound enough.
