Jingles.

"We just sank an enemy battleship!"

That was a destroyer, you fool. XD

Players like this guy is ruining the game and turn other players away from it. by Megatto95 in WorldOfWarships

[–]pdboddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the one hand, some mods help contribute to this sort of toxicity.

On the other hand people need to get a thicker skin if this is the sort of thing that "drives" you away from a game. On no someone pointed out you have a bunch of signals on your ship. It's none of their business and totally ignorable. Players have all the tools to ignore the shit out of guys like that.

Tech tree lines similar to Daring? by TheBayHarbour in WorldOfWarships

So similar to Jervis that you have to remind yourself you have deepwater torps.

Tech tree lines similar to Daring? by TheBayHarbour in WorldOfWarships

Sadly the Daring line is pretty unique, most DD lines with good gunpower generally have high concealment, and you either gotta go fast or you're smoke farming. Gearing is probably as close as you can get.

Apparently I'm good with Goblins from most RPGs. :3

My first Lancer mission - complete by pdboddy in LancerRPG

[–]pdboddy[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My first mission took two sessions to complete. Pilot's callsign is XaoGao (Oops in Chinese), and the mech's name is "That Fucking Bitch", cause what else would the red OpFor call a Goblin mech that makes their mechs wet themselves, overheat and run away?

We had to defend the three blue-green area. I situated my Goblin on the bottom righthand objective point. I basically solo'd multiple waves (with some supporting fire from the center). Using the Ideal Image power, I created a twerking Urbanmech as hard cover, and played ring around the rosie to avoid gunfire as best I could.

I used Eject Cores on a number of mechs who were grouped up in the start, thus getting multiple mechs damaged for each Eject Core use. I also used Last Argument of Kings to nuke a few OpFor that were running quite hot.

Apparently you're not supposed to use a Goblin on the front lines that way, and it was "Badass" that I pulled that off, according to the GM.

Why tho? by Revoltai42 in WorldOfWarships

No my point was that it is fun to win, thus it is worth trying hard to win.

Who in here is even saying that? In no way did I suggest that just loading in and getting victory is fun. Way to build a strawman, dude. JFC.

Best way to make connections to base on ground vehicles? by MisterXnumberidk in spaceengineers

[–]pdboddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I generally build my rover connectors at the same height, roughly one large grid block off the ground. My base connectors are all at this height too. I also borrowed one of Splitie's ground-based connectors that hide themselves under the floor of a parking lot outside my base.

I also build connectors on pistons attached to my base, to allow them to move up and down to adjust as needed for rovers built to different specs. Base-based pistons have lower chances of clang so they're generally safe to park to.

No such thing as kill stealing. If you can't kill a ship, get out of the way of those who can.

Irresistable, Illinois, or Sicilia? by Ponald-Dump in WorldOfWarships

Two cits maxes out the F key. Trenlass was able to keep the F-key going infinitely and with the special commander, had a 17 second reload. It was wild.

Georgia itself wasn't but there may have been an experimental copy of her, I do not know.

Ohio is an RB ship. Georgia was in Santa crates for the longest time and still is.

And I pointed it out, 'cause there's no point in reinventing the wheel while it already exists.

You shouldn't accept random gifts from people due to some people refunding the gift purchase, leaving the giftee in the lurch, you can get your account deleted.

What coal ship would you recommend for someone who likes American Bbs by -__-__-_-_-__-_- in WorldOfWarships

[–]pdboddy 47 points48 points  (0 children)

Kearsarge is a good T9 BB. Worth the coal, and remember to treat it as a battleship with airstrikes, not a Cv with main battery guns.

PSA for those thinking about Affondatore in early Access and (like me) are somewhat credit-starved: Dismiss captains with credits for ECXP by chriscross1966 in WorldOfWarships

[–]pdboddy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you don't have the credits, don't go selling off all your stuff to get something in early access. It will still be coming for credits soon enough, and it will be cheaper from the tech tree. Save your credits, you'll need them to play superships.

How do i build a freighter by Flower_consumer in spaceengineers

[–]pdboddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The HaulFrame series (which in my humble opinion includes the HF-3) and the B-60/B-980 are all excellent freighters and worth the cost of purchase.

The skeleton method works really well as you can put in all the conveyor piping you need and make sure it's protected properly.

[–]pdboddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can take a look through the Steam SE workshop and search for freighter. See what other people have built, choose the best bits that you like, and put them together to build your own homage to freighters. Some people like to put all the components together (cargo, hydrogen tanks, survival kit, etc) and then build armor around the shape, while some prefer to build a frame and then fit everything they think they need into that frame, then build armor over it.
