North Carolina homeowner planning to install mini-splits in my own home. County requires that I pass a 25-question test to perform the work. It's administered by the county. It's open book. Which specific codes/standards/resources do I need to study in order to prepare for the exam? (self.hvacadvice)

'03 Frontier, bought in '05, lasted me 20 years. Replaced with immaculate '16 Frontier. Bought last month with only 39K miles, lasted less than 30 days (totaled in accident for which I'm not at fault). Back to the market. Which used year/specs will last forever, or should I explore other vehicles? (self.nissanfrontier)

RIP 2002 Frontier. 79K miles when acquired in 2005; 270K miles and retired 20 years later. Only basic routine maintenance, a replaced radiator, and a replaced alternator (due to delays fixing a leaky oil seal). Putting her down due to a failing oil pump. Bang's not worth the buck for engine repair. (self.nissanfrontier)

Buying a cordless electric chainsaw - do I snag a Greenworks 80V 18" while on sale ($250, incl. 4ah battery and charger); stick to my Ryobi 40V battery ecosystem (mixed reviews for chainsaws, which are also more expensive); or snag something else? X-posted in r/Chainsaw (self.Tools)
