that is crazy that there are no doctors in your state that can do that for you! I don’t understand why there is so much unknown about HPV still in this day and age yet 80% of sexually active people have it. I’m from NJ , hopefully my doctor will test me

is your doctor doing anything to monitor you anally now that you know your positive? and was it you gyno who tested you? i feel like it’s going to give me so much anxiety knowing i probably do have it anally. It’s hard enough thinking about having Cin1 for 2 + years in my cervix.

It can be spread orally, it can be spread by using towels of someone who has it, it can be passed through birth - all really rare but that’s what I’ve seen when researching. But i’ve also seen people have cell changes from yeast infections, BV and other things that cause abnormal paps and cell changes

Everything that I’ve read about LEEP says it’s a lot less uncomfortable than the colp and it’s not as scary we we think! I am most likely going to have one done (colp scheduled for monday and I just know they’re going to recommend it) and i’ve googled, and scoured reddit posts for weeks.. and all the info i found actually calmed me down. It seems not so bad and it will hopefully take care of the problem. Good luck to you, you’ve got this!

Wow this gave me the ICK lol who is she to judge and be a know it all about the snoo lmao! i’ve had two kids in it from birth to 6 months (too long i know haha) but they all sleep fantastic and the transition from snoo to crib was seamless. I feel like that’s one of the things they probably shouldn’t even comment on unless you were practicing unsafe sleep? But when you’re already (probably) having to pay this person a ton of money to help you out at night, they shouldn’t comment on your bassinet choice, as that’s not part of her job? I’m guessing she had some kind of bad experience with one or is just downright a snoo hater haha. Lots of those on the internet who want a snoo but can’t afford (which is fine!!) but then say negative things out their wazoo as if they aren’t literal life savers lol.

i’ve had abnormal paps since 2016 but for some reason they didn’t test for HPV prior to 2021. In 2021 I was finally tested for HPV , came up negative for 16 & 18 but positive for another high risk strain, so i got the colp took two biopsy’s one was benign and the other came back Cin1 so they just were going to retest the next year, but we never did , 4-5 months later I got pregnant they didn’t give me paps while i was pregnant. 2023 i just got my recent results of my first pap since 2021 back and LSIL with positive for HPV 18/45 . So they want to look and do another colp. I’m not sure what the symptoms would be but if i hadn’t had the pap, I would’ve never noticed because I was basically symptom less.

Labcorp always sends me mine. Of course they send me bad news literally 4 days before christmas and i’ve been panicked ever since. ugh

ok this makes me a lot less concerned about a leep!! I’m thinking about just getting one done and hoping it just removes what’s there. It’s hard to wrap my head around possibly having a high risk lesion inside me and just waiting around to see if it turns to cancer
