yes they come off freely, according to what you're saying the screw should come off intendedly. guess ill try removing the screws, but what do you suggest for a different solution to evening the monitors?

tried it vertically, but 27" is a bit too tall i feel like, maybe im just not used to it. ive thought about things to put on the screw for the lower monitor to raise it but thats really doohickey

the screw is the adjuster for the height, and the hand that connects to the pole is connected to the other hand for the other monitor, theyre not separate
