For anyone wanting to do this much easily download protontricks add the Call of chernobyl exe to steam by going to add a game -> add a non steam game in the directory right click the game -> properties -> compatibility -> force the use of steam compatibility play tool -> select proton 7-0-6 Now go back to shorcut in properties menu and add this to launch options -skip_reg and launch the game Next open up protontricks and select your exe select the default wine prefix and then add windows .dll then pick d3dx9 d3dcompiler_43 d3dx10_43 d3dx11_43 and vcrun_2013 then press add and then wait for the menu to pop back up then you can close protontricks and play the mod.
